Ronan had left the day shift to the nurses today, instead coming in for the evening shift with his Art of War compatriots. "So, yeah, I don't know if you guys have been in here before," he said, "so if you have any questions, feel free to ask."

The clinic was open for business. And hopefully wasn't getting any (although Ronan wouldn't object all that much, really, healing people can be terribly exciting).

Ronan was, mostly, only peripherally aware of the things happening on the island. He'd missed the town hall meeting the day before, and wasn't one to listen to radio. Still, it was hard to miss that they'd moved -- again -- and things in the back of his head had him more than a little on edge.

So he was there for his shift bright and early Friday morning, making sure things were in order in case the 'being on edge' thing was heralding an influx of patients.

Surprisingly, the phenomenon of bipedal proboscises grew rather boring after a shockingly short while, even after Adah had finally convinced one of the nurses to snag one up for her and she could do a little bit of dissecting and research to see if there was any logical rhyme or reason on why anyone would bother splicing these particular tissues together to this specific cause.

Conclusion:

This is just silly.

It started to get a little annoying after a while to realize that a bunch of noses were more mobile than she was. They avoided her easily after the first few dissections, but that didn't mean Adah still couldn't attempt to fire antihistamine pills at them from the front desk.

Alanna was very suprised to find that there were actually people in the clinic. Faithful...decided the TV made a good bed.

Armed with coffee and the television remote, Trevor settled in for what he figured would be another quiet evening in the clinic.

Susan's left the doors open, and she's getting ready for the new students. She's also considering an orientation for the the beginning of the term.

[For Tyler, but also open]

Susan waits inside the clinic, with the door open, sipping on a chai tea she picked up at Jeff, God of Biscuits, as she waits for her appointments.

It's too nice to be inside. So Susan is waiting for various people on the stoop outside her office, in a lawnchair. Another one has been set up next to her, along with an umbrella.

Ah, summer.

[even though she's not inside, the content of Susan's sessions are still NFB. And if you want to set up therapy with Susan for summer, this would be a good post to do it in.]

Susan opened the clinic, and then decided to wait on the front stoop, because it was too nice to stay inside. Tyler was supposed to be by, and she was half-hoping Janet or Sam would stop in before or after he got there-- they had a *lot* to talk about.

Christian opened the clinic and checked on the patients. Most of the ones who had been there Tuesday had been discharged, but the burn victim remained. There was also a new patient who had apparently fallen down some stairs.

Funny how when he took this job he though that it would be quiet with just the occasional bump and bruise and request for birth control.

Entering the clinic, Nat did a quick change out of her rain jacket and into a lab coat, draping her stethoscope around her neck. She then picked up the charts and made her rounds. That done, she settled in to the front desk with Lappy her laptop and continued working on her writing project. Hopefully she wouldn't be quite as distracted by it...

[Disabling notifications. Ping me on AIM if I'm needed.]

Tommy did a quick check on all the patients - that Tyler kid still wasn't looking good, but comparatively speaking he was starting to look better - and then settled down at his desk to do the very important job of reading the sports section.

[ooc: OCD threads are up. I'll be at work most of the day so Tommy might be on slowplay. Comment notification is turned off for all you visiting types ;) . If you need Tommy, ping him in his thread. Need me, ping in the OOC thread. Thanks!]

FTEC, Tuesday Night

She wasn't necessarily in a good mood, but she was doing... better...even as the memories became clearer with each passing day. A small part of her could understand, really. Nick didn't want to lose her, wanted to keep his promise. And LaCroix -- what did LaCroix want? Even spending as much time as she did, examining her connection to him, she couldn't quite make him out; the mixture of affection, consternation, sacrifice, and some others she couldn't name was all overwhelming and difficult to untangle.

That didn't mean she wasn't going to try.

But those were thoughts better left to daylight hours, while she was trapped in her basement apartment. Once the sun went down, Natalie made her way to the clinic and found the place surprisingly busy. It seemed the students had found other ways to occupy their time since classes were over. Probably just as well, she thought. Her brooding thoughts would have to be set aside for later. She then grabbed the charts and began her rounds.

[Doc is in, but mun will be gone from 7:30 to 9 ET if anyone needs medical assistance or other RP needs. Mun is actually back...]

Granny set up her cauldron on the desk and started brewing up a potion to treat the Mauve Plague*. It was always best to be prepared.

Once the cauldron was safely bubbling, she went to check on the patients.

*A distant and much more serious cousin of the Black Plague.

Stark arrived at the clinic for his usual shift and found the clinic already partially occupied. He quickly checked in on Tyler and Nadia, and anyone else who's still here that I missed then took a seat at the desk. With people in the clinic, he figured that this was not likely to be as quiet a night as Sundays usually were. So he was keeping his eye on the door.

((The mun, on the other hand, is totally watching TWW finale *sniff*, and will be slow responding between 8-9 EDT. But I am here. And I think I have nurse backup, even. Yay. AND this time I'll post in the right place.))

Janet stumbled in, exhausted, and opened up the clinic. Thankfully--and unusually--the nurse was around to watch the desk. She waved tiredly and dropped into a cot in the corner to sleep.

OOC: It's Mother's Day and yeah, I want to do the mommy thing with my kidlet. And my mom. :) Which means I am on omg slowplay, but will be tagging in when/if I can. For those of y'all who have plotty stuff, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] will be around. Please give a serious hand of applause to our nurse. She rules.
