The nurses were rather displeased with her, all things considered, that she'd disappeared to go and be at graduation rather than be at her shift.

Ino just shrugged, flopped down in her chair, and pulled out one of her many notebooks. Graduation happened once a year, right? No way was she just going to stick around a clinic all by her lonesome while that was going on.

Unhappy or not, the nurses were just going to have deal. What's done was done!

At the first sign of a child invasion, Christian had fled the island. He liked kids, he just didn't want to run into any that belonged to him. One surprise was enough, and with his history, there was definitely a chance that a whole army of kids could show up.

Dr. Troy was still on vacation, so the nurses were in charge. Currently they were watching Hearts 'n' Scalpels and debating if the lead doctor's hair was real or not.

The nurses had gone overboard decorating the clinic for the holidays. Christian, of course, supervised the placement of the mistletoe. Those entering the clinic beware, it was everywhere.

Wilson was not too happy to come in this morning and learn about Willow's injury and the fact that she was still unconscious.

Though one would think he'd be used to comas about now it still made him frustrated when they lingered for days. After checking in on Willow, Wilson went to make coffee and review some of the other injuries reported so far this week.

Christian checked on the new patient when he arrived at the clinic. What was it with these kids and unexplained comas? Katara had done a good job taking care of her head trauma, which, if he was reading the notes right, would've likely killed her. Her injuries were healed now, but she still wasn't waking up.

Christian checked on the patient and reviewed the notes from Dr. Howser, the nurses, and Katara. The blood work results didn't seem like the plague, but then again, they hadn't been terribly alarmed when the first patient showed up with that illness. There didn't seem to be any apparent physical cause for Zuko's fever, so what was wrong with the kid?

Christian had been kept updated on Adah's condition, so he wasn't surprised to find her still in the clinic, her condition unchanged. He checked the monitors keeping track of her vitals; at least she was still in stable condition. Hopefully one of the clinic aides could whip some magic out of their ass and bring her around; it not, he would have to transfer her off island if she didn't come out of the coma in the next few days.

Christian had the clinic TV on the weather channel, watching the updates about Hurricane Dean. Living in Miami had given him a healthy respect for the power of Mother Nature, though he'd probably couch it in terms like "bitch" and "PMS."

Then again, he could be watching because the attractive female reporter on scene was wearing a white shirt and getting very wet.

Christian did a quick check of the clinic and was happy to find only one (?) patient remaining. He started going over the records from the weekend and was very pleased with the work the new student aides had done.

When she came in, Katara was pleased that no one new had come in since yesterday. She reviewed the charts quickly, checking to see who had left and who was still around and then went back to check on all the patients.

Wilson headed into the clinic to get caught up on any new arrivals and patients still in care. It was more than a bit distressing to see how busy the place had gotten since Saturday and after some discussion, he posted the nurse at the front desk and headed back to do rounds.

[ooc: Unfortunately RL > RP and at work this week I have an audit team on top of regular work load. This means, if you are coming to visit someone, feel free to mod that the nurse has checked you in and shown you where they are, if you are checking out today, Wilson will have given you the standard 'don't get dead' lecture and sent you on your way. A new crop of students, and nothing had blown up in the past week. So far, so good. Christian settled in the lobby for a quiet day of ~~web-surfing for porn~~ reading the latest news in the medical world.

After a day spent doing nothing, Stark was in the clinic and ready to do something. Hopefully something would not involve large numbers of head wounds. He went through the usual routine of checking the exam rooms and anyone who might be in them, then settling in at the desk.

It really was promising to be a gorgeous day out so Wilson decided to follow Troy's example from the other day and he opened up the windows in the clinic to let fresh air move through the space.

He also thought it might make Ami feel a little better as well, though he kept her window to a smallish crack.

Getting a brief run down on everything from the nurse, Wilson settled down behind the front desk and went to work on a small surprise he had in mind for the angel.

After a night spent picking stray bits of kelp the storm had blown in out of her collections of medical journals and stuffed animals, Elliot took a long, long long shower. Satisfied she no longer smelled fishy, she went to open the clinic.

Which also smelled a little fishy, actually. She checked in on Liz and Ami and then got busy with some Lysol. The clinic was open and fairly dry.

Natalie frowned as she stood behind the desk and flipped through Dr. Wilson's chart. An abdominal stab wound was a nasty thing, and got worse, depending on how much damage the weapon had done on the inside. In this case, the lung had been punctured; she could only imagine the tight, painful feeling of breathlessness that had immediately followed. It was not something she hoped to ever encounter herself, and she was curious as to how Dr. Wilson could have found himself on the receiving end.

She was also curious as to how the good doctor ended up with a fractured skull. Notes from the admitting physician -- Janet, she noted -- conjectured that the fracture was the cause of his current coma. With a sigh, Nat closed the chart. Sounds like one hell of a fight, she thought, shaking her head.

She moved off silently to check on her patient, then spend some time in the lab.

Elliot checked the clinic records to see if there were any patients, and then checked the supply closet to see if they had run out of anything.

Once she was done with the actual work portion of the day -- she hoped -- she settled in to page through some medical texts as a review before she started sending in applications to endocrinology programs.

They aren't putting her to sleep. Really.

Christian made a quick check on the clinic and was relieved to see most of the bed were empty, unlike the chaos of the weekend. He made certain the patients were all resting comfortably, then settled at the front desk. Invasions required so much paperwork.
