FTEC, Thursday Evening, May 3

Doogie had settled himself in with a small stack of medical journals, and was hoping for a fairly quiet evening.

Billy limped into the clinic, being careful to take shallow breaths. He couldn't help being a bit amused at who was on duty. "We meet again."

Doogie came from around the front desk and zipped to Billy's side when he saw him. "We do?" he asked. "As much as I enjoy seeing people, you might not want to make coming here a habit. What happened?"

"We do. Last time I was about five though. I got into a fight on the mainland. You should see the other guy."

Billy has cracked ribs, a black eye, and bruises on his shin, thighs, and both arms.

"Aaah," Doogie said, starting to look him over for more than obvious injuries. "You should stick to getting in trouble on the playground. It's a lot less painful. Come on, let's get you into one of the exam rooms so I can check you out."

"Neither time was I looking for the trouble." Billy said, following Doogie. It was a testament to the weirdness of his life in general, and of Fandom, that he never thought twice about the fact that the doctor was so young.

"So you're a trouble magnet, huh? Guess I'll be looking forward to seeing you more then," Doogie joked, leading Billy into the closest room, and helping him sit down on the exam table. "Do you think you broke anything?" he asked, beginning to gently poke and prod in various non-dirty spots.

"Hrm. You probably cracked some ribs," Doogie remarked, carefully examining the area. "Luckily, that's somewhat easy to fix - as long as you plan on resting and not getting into any more fights."

"Oh yeah." Billy said. "Resting is definately on the itinerary. Quite a lot of it." He hadn't gotten much sleep in the past few days.
