Libby's father had always said that she could never be a real farm girl, because she tended to want to make a pet out of every animal she saw, and, apparently, the crab at the clinic was no exception. As it was pretty clear that he was there to stay, she spent a good deal of her time that morning taking care of him, feeding him, making sure his tank was comfortable, and asking the nurses plenty of questions about him before getting started on her workbooks and modules for the day.

"Stabby?" she asked, brows lifted when it came around to discussing what the crab was actually named. "Is that short for Stabastian?"
