Cristina's coping methods were really very simple when it came right down to it, especially the ones that weren't full-on meltdowns. First she got very, very drunk. Then when she was done with the subsequent hangover, she worked.

Fandom was making that very difficult.

"Look, I'm a professional, okay? And your appendix is probably going to get inflamed. It's barely even a surgery! It's like -- preschool surgery. They have surgical interns do this on their very first day."

Admittedly that was to make an example of one poor schlub and remind the interns that they still had so much to learn, but still. Baby surgery!
