Stark was in a good mood when he arrived at the clinic and handed over the usual coffees to the nurses. He'd spent the majority of his weekend with his girlfriend Summer in her apartment. Nothing terrible had happened. He'd successfully tricked her, a little, with the cookies and she'd tricked him with cupcakes and he'd been delighted by both things. Dinner and a movie last night had one well and he'd woken up with her again this morning. What else could a glowy alien ask for in a weekend?
"You're cheerful today," a nurse observed, smirking a little over the rim of their coffee cup.
"Good weekend," Stark said. "How was yours?"
The nurse shrugged. "The usual. Quiet. Stabby's in a gtheood mood too, today. Maybe he visited his lobster friends."
"He might have," Stark said, looking over at Stabby's tank. "Have you asked him?"
"He's been looking at beach resorts all morning so far," the nurse said. "Maybe he's planning on taking them on vacation?"
The clinic was open, the crab was plotting a romantic getaway with his lobsters, and the alien was in.
