Fandom Clinic; Thursday [01/19].
Thursday, January 19th, 2023 05:28 amLibby got to actually do something that day! Something that wasn't debating with the nurses whether or not it would be weird for Stabby to eat some of the cookies Libby brought in from yesterday that she'd decorated specifically for the clinic, because they were all decorated to look like crabs.
(There had, after all, been a lot of cookies yesterday).
But just as Libby scored a victory by pointing out that gingerbread men cookies were a thing when one of the nurses argued that they didn't eat human-shaped cookies, someone came in after having apparently jammed their foot pretty badly into one of the steps outside when they weren't really paying attention. Jammed seemed like a loose term, too, so they hurried him off to an exam room, and Libby got to follow along with the process and help him get his foot all splinted and wrapped up because it was definitely broken, and also, it turned out, the poor guy had done it days ago and had been trying to walk on it the whole time! Apparently, he just foolishly thought the pain would just go away, but, when it didn't...
There was a good lecture to be had about taking care of oneself and taking any injury seriously right from the get-go, and when Libby returned to the desk, she noticed that all the crab cookies were gone.
Had Stabby actually eaten them all while they were in the exam room? Had it been one of the nurses? Maybe the one who was so offended by giving a crab crab-shaped cookies had just dumped them all in the trash. But then Libby had a thought, and she didn't know how she felt about the fact that, yes, actually, they were in the drawer that was sometimes filled with coffee, which was filled with coffee today, which meant that crab cookies, apparently, liked to swim in coffee, and she did not know what to do with this information except close the drawer again carefully and hope it was cleared up tomorrow.
Where did the coffee in the drawer go when it wasn't in the drawer, anyway?
The Clinic is open!
