Fandom Clinic; Thursday [08/11].
Thursday, August 11th, 2022 05:56 amWith having missed her shift last week due to being a lamb, Libby was expecting she'd have a lot of work to catch up on with her training units, but when she got to the clinic, she actually couldn't find her workbooks and other study materials. She was pretty sure she hadn't misplaced them, and was now somewhat worried that this place was very capable of just swallowing them up and making them disappear out of thin air.
"Oh, no, here," said one of the nurses, finally realizing what Libby had been worriedly looking for and handing over a book, "we got this for you instead."
Libby took the book a little cautiously, frowning a little as she read the title. "Crab Libs?" she asked, flipping through the pages with its paragraphs with blank spaces and prompts for 'name a seafood' or 'water-related adverb' or 'type of fish'. "But why?"
"Well, you know," said the nurse, clearly resigned to just having to explain everything to this girl, "because crab," she gestured toward Stabby's tank, "Libs," gesturing now toward Libby. "Crab Libs. It'll be a good bonding experience for you two."
Libby looked over toward Stabby, and she liked to think that Stabby was looking back at her with the same expression acknowledging the absurdity of all of this, a look that, quite frankly, showed just how much they'd already bonded, thank you.
"Don't you think," Libby suggested lightly, "it would be more useful for me to learn how to, I don't know, apply a tourniquet or recognize the symptoms of dehydration or how to treat poison ivy, or something?"
But the nurse just sort of laughed and said she was looking forward to hearing what they came up with together, so....apparently not.
The Clinic is open!
