Libby was taking a departure from her usual studies at the clinic that day...at least when she wasn't helping the nurses with one task or another (particularly moving boxes, apparently), instead, diving into a book she'd borrowed from the animal shelter about the mending of and taking care of wing injuries.

And also researching things like how to prevent fall injuries and what to do if you find yourself suddenly in a freefall from an extreme height to prevent the most damage and hopefully even survive.

You know. For totally normal 'people sometimes have wings and so that's important medical knowledge ot have' and also 'my friend with wings who might take me flying also has a sleep disorder so there is a big, potentially fatal flaw in this plan' reasons.
