The nurses were still trying to explain football to Stark today. He still wasn't really getting it.

"I liked the puppies better," he said. "Will there be more puppies?"

Even if there weren't puppies, at least there was a supply of red/white/blue cupcakes as well as a few football shaped ones.

The alien was in, still confused about sports, and ready to assist should you need him.
