Igor was perched behind the desk, tinkering with something that flailed little legs in the air. His tongue was poking out of the corner of his mouth, and he was humming tunelessly as he worked.

Discovering that lightning came out of little holes in the wall had been astonishing; the effect a ready supply of it had had on his experiments was more astonishing still.
