Ranma had woken up in the wrong room, in the wrong body, and with a cat in the room with him. To summarize: bad morning. So now he was in the clinic, wondering why he looked like Alanna and why her cat told him to go the clinic.

Tommy? Was himself.

Tommy was also replacing Cox's personal coffee stash with tobacco.

One might argue that this was a waste of perfectly good tobacco.

This is why Tommy had bought the cheap stuff.
