Tommy pinned a cat-sized "I'm with stupid" T-shirt onto the statue of Faithful, then started his work day.

Nick had steered clear of her while she got ready for work. She was a bit surprised when she saw he had prepared a protein shake for her, flavored with just a little plasma. She offered her couch for a second night, and he told her he'd think about it. After all, he said, it was where he tended to sleep at home anyway. With a smile, Natalie told him she knew.

Coming in to the clinic, she settled the laptop on the desk, and slipped in an old Fred and Ginger movie. She then went digging for some Strifenova Celestial fan fiction -- the really sappy but well-written stuff. She needed sappy tonight.
