FTEC – Saturday [November 22]

Okay, so yes, she’d heard radio (had been certain to listen to it, in fact) and knew already that Tyler-sensei had been to the clinic like she’d ordered him to be. This did not stop her from making her very first order of business when she got in checking up on the paperwork to make sure he really had been in and radio hadn’t been lying.

Smugly pleased that he’d listened to her (and, really, in Ino’s opinion, more people ought to listen to her) she settled down to read her medical textbooks and vaguely contemplate... stuff.

Yes. Stuff.

Ichigo showed up at some point in the morning, carrying the usual bag and cups. He'd gotten entirely too used to showing up during Ino's shift and now it just felt weird not to. So there he was, having stopped by JGOB and the Perk after his run.

"Being lazy again?" he asked, having fully well noticed that Ino was doing no such thing.

"You think I'm fooled by your staring at those pages?" he asked, placing the bag down.

"Yeah? What are you reading?" he asked, moving to her side of the desk.

"You will," he said confidently, waving the cup of hot chocolate in front of her.

"I'm just saying it as I see it," he argued, letting her have the cup and the bag of pastries. "Maybe next week I should bring waffles."

No matter how careful, or how experienced, or how knowledgeable you were, sometimes, accidents happen.

This did not stop Tully from feeling remarkably stupid as he came limping into the clinic that morning.

He'd been so sure he'd gotten everything off the floor. But apparently he'd missed one nail.

"I stepped on a nail I think." Tully said.

"Sorry I'm not flexible to check for sure." Tully grumbled defensively. It was shoved so far into the sole of his boot that it was somewhat hidden from immediate view.

Tully sat on the examining bed, and stuck his feet out. The nail was in the left boot, between the treads.

Tully lowered his right foot and glowered at his mun for reading the previous ping wrong and braced himself for what was likely going to hurt.

Tully managed not to scream, but he made a manly pained sound anyway. Then he took a few deep breaths. "Thanks for the warning." he said sincerely.
