Okay, so yes, she’d heard radio (had been certain to listen to it, in fact) and knew already that Tyler-sensei had been to the clinic like she’d ordered him to be. This did not stop her from making her very first order of business when she got in checking up on the paperwork to make sure he really had been in and radio hadn’t been lying.

Smugly pleased that he’d listened to her (and, really, in Ino’s opinion, more people ought to listen to her) she settled down to read her medical textbooks and vaguely contemplate... stuff.

"He went!" Ino chirped. "I checked the logs this morning."

Because Ino was persistent that way.

"And something 'bout a helicopter crash. Or something."

"Wow... I don't think that happened on the island?" he frowned. "Or am I turning deaf?"

Ino paused. "I don't think I asked that? Probably not though. People'd notice that."

He nodded and tugged on her shirt. "So um..."

She glanced down at the tug. "Um, what?"

"We've got Thurday and Friday off from class," he pointed out, as if he might be going somewhere with this.

"We do," she said agreeably. "It'll be a bit weird, really, having nothing planned..."

He hummed thoughtfully and glanced down where he was gripping her shirt. "We could do something..."

Ino bit back the first response she had to that because if she said it, then he'd flail like mad.

"We could go to the onsen!" she said brightly, after considering other options for a moment. "You so owe me."

He frowned. "Why do I owe you?"

"'Cause I ate my sandwich," she reminded him. "When I wasn't hungry."

"Oh right," he'd possibly forgotten that he'd promised that. "Okay so, we can do the onsen thing. If that's allowed?"

"...why wouldn't it be allowed?"

"Some of those places have separate areas for women and men?" he replied.

She laughed. "I know that! Not this one though, it's one of those ones you've gotta wear a bathing suit for, so it's all good."

Ichigo let out a breath and nodded, possibly relieved that the whole bathing suit thing. "Okay, so we'll do that?"

"We can do that," she agreed. "Did you want to do anything else too?"

"Maybe grab something to eat too?" he suggested. "Take away or something?" Not that he had any reason to want to go back to her room or anything.

Oh, really now...

"Sure," Ino said, smiling. "It's a plan."

"Cool," he grinned. "Thursday or Friday?"

"Thursday?" she suggested. "'Cause I've gotta be up early for clinic, so staying late on Friday would be a bad idea."

Huh. Late?

He was not blushing, really. Maybe there was just a little more colour to the back of his neck, but that was perfectly normal. "Okay, Thursday then," he agreed. "I wouldn't want you to fall asleep on the job."

If they watched a movie or something, geez.

Ino grinned. "Done it before on Wednesday's but I don't have any idea how Martha-sensei would react to it."

He was a teenage boy. He had hormones and a wild imagination, dammit.

"Depends if anyone comes in," he reasoned.

Not that Ino minded the hormoe0, really.

"Someone always comes in," she said, rolling her eyes. "Whether it's for a bandaid they're too cheap to buy at the store, or for the free condoms or whatever. Seldom serious stuff."
