1. Name, age, point of origin
2. Any special powers/abilitites
3. Why are you interested in helping out in the clinic?
4. What skills/experiencecan you offer the clinic?
5. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of a stomache ache. What do you do?
6. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in with a bullet wound. What do you do?
7. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of severe pain, but there are no obvious wounds.. What do you do?
8. What is an ultrasound used for?
9. What does the abbreviation GOMER mean?
10. Do you think [livejournal.com profile] principalconnor needs to know everything that goes on inside the clinic?

Stapled to the application is a wavier, releasing Dr Hosue of any libility, should anyone on his staff get hurt or injured while working in the clinic. It must besigned by the applicant and two adult witnesses, preferably parents/guardians ir the appliant is under age. Principal or teachers at the school will also suffice.

1. Lisa Cuddy, 16, and you've been to my house before.
2. Does putting up with you count?
3. I am interested in pursuing medicine as a career, and feel as if working in the clinic would be a good application of my skills. Lisa pulls the pen up from the paper before she can write, "and so that I can keep an eye on you."
4. I have completed advanced coursework in anatomy, biology, and the sciences. I have maximum amount of certifications possible from the Red Cross, and through a program at my former school I have participated the young intern program at PPTH in New Jersey. Both of my parents are also doctors, so I have a large amount of medical knowledge from osmosis.
5. A stache ache? As in their mustache? I would wonder how I wandered onto a bad porn set.
6. If the school nurse was too busy watching General Hospital to actually save lives, I would assess the level of injury, and if the wound was superficial I would treat it myself and not bother disturbing the school nurse for help, because the patient would bleed out from a paper cut before the school nurse got off his ass.
7. Take a history and do an initial exam, and bring it to the School Nurse Diagnostics Specialist for further review, which would of course happen only during the commercials of said television program because I do not suffer under the delusion that the school nurse would listen to me whatsoever until a commercial break.
8. Ultrasound is a medical imaging technique, most commonly used in obstetrics, and analyzing body systems. I'm sure you use it more commonly to settle bets.
9. Get Out of My Emergency Room, or in your case, Get Out of My Emergency Room, Clinic, Office, Hospital, and General Vicinity. Pity that wasn't more catchy.
10. Having an open and honest relationship with the administration can only be the best in the long run for the clinic staff and the patients.

... you can trust me.

I'll fax the form to my parents. They are aware that I am applying for this position, you'll get it back later today.

1. Name, age, point of origin: Kimberly Shaw, 17, Cleveland, OH
2. Any special powers/abilitites: I understand this school has many students with powers, but I'm afraid I just have my own intelligence and wits.
3. Why are you interested in helping out in the clinic? I am planning to go to med school and becoming a doctor and I thought this would be great experience.
4. What skills/experiencecan you offer the clinic? I am certified in first aid and CPR. I helped the school nurse at my old school.
5. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of a stomache ache. What do you do? Firmly direct them away from the doctor, as they should be bringing such a problem to one of his assistants.
6. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in with a bullet wound. What do you do? Begin the initial assessment of the patient and call for the doctor when he is needed or if the injury is beyond the scope of any of his assistants.
7. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of severe pain, but there are no obvious wounds.. What do you do? Once again, firmly direct the patient away from the doctor and try to find out if they are truly ill or a hypochondriac.
8. What is an ultrasound used for? It is used for diagnostic purposes, such as imaging internal organs.
9. What does the abbreviation GOMER mean? Get Out of My Emergency Room -- applies to someone with a non emergency condition.
10. Do you think principalconnor needs to know everything that goes on inside the clinic? Of course not -- this is your domain.

3. I would like to help other students, while continuing to learn more about muggle medicine and technology.
4. I studied the healing arts at my previous school, and did two semesters of an apprenticeship in the school infirmary. I am experienced the creation and use of many healing ointments, potions, spells, and therapies.
5. Assess, diagnose, administer treatment and fill out the proper paperwork. There is no need to approach the doctor unless it is an extreme situation.
6. Assess, diagnose, alert the doctor of the situation and administer treatment to the best of my ability until the doctor is able to assist.
7. Assess, diagnose, administer treatment and fill out the proper paperwork. There is no need to approach the doctor unless it is an extreme situation.
8. I believe it is a machine of muggle technology, used for viewing internal organs, pregnancies, etc.
9. "Get out of my emergency room," I believe.
10. I'm sure Principal Conner has many other things on her mind at any given time. Clearly, she trusted you enough to hire you and put you in charge of this clinic, and it is up to your discretion whether or not there is anything you need to bring to the principal's attention.

1. Alanna Trebond, sir. I'm seventeen and am from Tortall. I don't think you've heard of the place, though.
2. I'm a healer. I'm not that good yet, but I can heal minor injuries and have some knowledge of how to deal with more extensive ones.
3. It's what I do. In my line of work, I'm planning on becoming a knight, I see a lot death. It's my way of paying back for the lives I take.
4. I can heal people without leaving any major scars or after effects. I've been working with the castle healer for the past few years and I helped deal with the wounded after the War.
5. Figure out what's wrong with them, if it's something minor deal with. If it seems life threatening, get the doctor. Make a note of who it was, and what I did.
6. I'm sorry, what's a bullet? I will asume it's something like an arrow? I would assess the damage done, and try to keep the patient stable until the doctor was able to come. (What is television any way?)
7. Try to figure out what's causing the pain, if it's something I can heal, I would heal them. If it turns out to be beyond the scope of my knowledge/abilities, I would keep the patient comftorable until the doctor was able to come.
8. An ulta sound? A type of sound? I'm sorry, my world is a bit lagging in technology behind yours.
9. Get out of my ER? We used GOMW, but that was get out of my way. I'm not sure if the idea is still the same here.
10. No, of course not. She has much more important issues to deal with. As long as there are no deaths, I don't see why she should have to be involved at all.

All of my gaurdians are currently unreachable, but they did give me a note saying that that no one is at fault for anything but me. And that I am allowed to do as I please as long as it is within the school rules.

1. Name, age, point of origin Kefka, age 17, the Empire.

2. Any special powers/abilitites Magic - both black destructive magic and various healing/regenerative/protective spells, and spells to dispel magical effects that have been placed on patients by others. Also something of a wizz kid with poisonous substances, don't mind saying so myself.

3. Why are you interested in helping out in the clinic? to have access to medical supplies ...er, because I'm very interested in different practical uses of medicine.

4. What skills/experience can you offer the clinic? See #2.

5. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of a stomache ache. What do you do? Tell them the doctor is not available, and that they should lie down for a bit and call again the next day if the problem persists.

6. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in with a bullet wound. What do you do? See if the bullet's gone clear through or not - if yes, fix the wound and internal damage with magic and a good old sewing kit. If the bullet's still in there somewhere, call assistance and get it out, then proceed as in the former case.

7. Scenario: The school doctor is watching television in an unused room. A patient comes in complaining of severe pain, but there are no obvious wounds.. What do you do? Poke patient, list symptoms, approach doctor with care during commercial break.

8. What is an ultrasound used for? *confused* Is that some kind of soundwave spell?

9. What does the abbreviation GOMER mean? *shiftily takes a look at other applicants' papers* 'Get out of my emergency room'. To which my response would be to 'Go on making egotistic remarks'.

10. Do you think [livejournal.com profile] principalconnor needs to know everything that goes on inside the clinic? Gods, no. She doesn't know everything that goes on in any part of this school, and the less the better.

4. Well, I earned T-ratings in genetics, neuroscience and xenobiology. What that means on *this* planet, I have no idea.
5. Inform them that they should stop behaving like the animals they are and pay attention to whatever crap it is they put in their mouths.
6. Assess the situation and administer treatment. Notify Doctor during what I've been informed are called "commercials" if necessary.
7. Find out which of the teachers and/or students they have managed to annoy. If and only if problem is actually serious, notify Doctor during said "commercials".
8. I believe it's a primative device you beings use to look at internal organs.
9. Is that some sort of Earth term? I can't honestly be expected to *know* that, can I?

5. Give him some Pepto-Bismol.
6. Take him into surgery immediately to remove the bullet.
7. Order an ultrasound and some X-rays.
8. An ultrasound is a way to look inside your patient, often used to view a infant in vitro.

5. I would first determine if said patient is lying just to get out of class. I would prescribe aspirin or some other painkiller and get them back to class.
6. Assess the damage, have the patient apply pressure on the wound while I try to call a more qualified doctor.
7. Again, I would assess the damage, and call a more qualified doctor to ensure no long-term serious damage will occur.
8. It's kind of like an X-ray machine, it's used to look at internal organs and babies inside pregnant women.
