Where Ino is all unsuspecting!

Ichigo was wishing he was still unspecting. Instead he was accompanying four kids to go see Ino. Four kids who claimed to be his kids. And Ino's. The very short walk from the park to the clinic was not enough to make him stop flailing and Ichigo was trying to think of a way to explain the situation to Ino.

As it turned out, he needn't explain anything. They could do the explaining for him.

The instant Ichigo pushed the door open, Masaru slipped underneath his arm and ran into the lobby.

"Okaasan!" he yelled entusiastically. "Otasan is being stupid!"

And ordinary day flew right out the window. She was going to miss it. Ino blinked up, stared at Ichigo and the... horde of small children--one of them was calling her mom, don't forget that--and...

Cracked up laughing. "It happened again!"

Ino was so not helpful.

"Okaasan," Isae said, skittering over to her. "Otousan doesn't know us!"

"Is he ill, Okaasan?" Masaki asked, still pouting a little. She wasn't letting go of Ken's hand however. Not until she said she could.

Ichigo was definitely starting to look ill and he was failing to find any words. Except that he was scowling at Ino while trying to look pleadingly at her to rescue him at the same time.

"He's just surprised, honey," she said, because awww, the baby had her hair. Ino leaned over and hugged Isae when the other girl got close enough. "You're a pretty big shock, all at once, you know? And Otousan's high strung."

Otousan was possibly going to kill her.

"But you know us, right?" Ken asked, watching Isae cling to Okaasan, and deciding it was safe enough to let go of Masaki's hand.

"Right, Okaasan?" Isae said, staring up at her. "Otousan's just being weird, right?"

"He wasn't expecting it," she said again. "See, don't you think we look a bit younger than you're used to? So we haven't had you all."

Yet was a word Ino was so very much avoiding.

The instant Ken let go of her hand, Masaki ran forward to claim a hug from Ino as well.

"Wait a minute! Are you saying this has happened before?" Ichigo was finally catching up with things while trying not too hard to think about this. And having kids with Ino. Four kids with Ino.

Masaru moved to stand beside Ken and he narrowed his eyes as he studied his parents. He didn't need a hug from them. He was six now!

"Why not?"

Ino swept up the little girl, hugging her and settling her on her lap with a quick kiss pressed to that tiny blonde head.

"Don't I get hugs from you two as well?" Ino was fifteen and still liked hugs. She was allowed to make her sons-from-the-future hug her. "Because we're still in school, sweetie. So we've got to wait 'till we're more grown up to have kids. But I bet you're all totally loved, can Okaasan get your names?"

"And yes," she added, grinning at her older daughter. "It's happened before. They'll be here for a few days." That probably wasn't reassuring.

"Isae!" she said promptly. "'Cause you won the argument 'bout the names, and so I got my name and Masaki got hers later than me 'cause you had boys then."

That, at least sounded reasonable. Ken went to give her a hug, like he'd been asked to. "It's Ken," he told Ino, as she ruffled his hair and he made a face. "Okaasan."

Masaru made a face, but if Ken was listening, then he would to and he moved towards Ino. "I'm Masaru," he said importantly, but it was all front as he hugged Ino rather tightly.

She was being swarmed by kids. Ino was... fairly okay with that. Less okay with the implications, but hey, children were pretty fun.

"You're all adorable," she said, hugging him back. "And super brave, did you come through a portal?"

"Uh huh," Isae said, resting against Okaasan's chair. "It showed up in the backyard."

"Masaru and Masaki insisted we go through," Ken informed her.

Ken hadn't said no though. Neither had Isae.
