Adah had to admit to feeling a little surprised when she limped into the clinic today for her shift. She also have to admit to feeling a little disappointed that the report didn't offer anything that severe or interesting. Most of these symptoms were daily fashion in Africa.

She also also had to admit that she wasn't too sure about that dog being here. It didn't seem to be the most hygienic thing in the world. Then again, though, if she was making African comparisons, she might as well put a lab coat on him and make him one of the nurses, for all it was worth up against the sort of things that might be walking through those clinics.

Cameron nodded and he did consider letting her be, but he was bored and did he mention that he hated the quiet. "I went there too... Last year. What year are you in?"

Adah drew in a slight breath, holding it as she jotted down that everything was progressing well, as normal, a-okay, with a slight urge to jot down in the notes section talks too much.

"Senior," she answered.

"One word of advice? Bring shampoo to the graduation ceremony," he advised her.

Okay, admittedly, that quirked Adah's attention a bit more. She blinked, and then turned her head, tilting it slightly. Her eyebrow lifted in the sort of vaguely intrigued expression (as vague as possible, if she could help it) that requested (she wouldn't want to say demanded) an elaboration.

"Aliens invaded during ours," Cameron explained, picking up on the request and starting to wonder if she really didn't like talking. "It was kind of messy when you killed them... and they blew up the school too."

Adah's head shifted; she intended to tilt it the other way, but her neck wasn't cooperated. At least it didn't jerk. Mostly, she was wondering how information like that would manage to not be mentioned before. She was considering possibly that he was simply pulling her leg. It was so hard to tell around this place. Still...

"Then why," she asked, after a moment of deliberation and deciding that he would probably continue talking to her anyway and it'd gotten to a point where talking back was less annoying than continuing to just be annoyed, "bring shampoo with you? It's not like, if it blew up, you could just hop into the locker room showers and wash up."

He paused. "That would be because you're more practical than me. But maybe they'd blow up the dorms too next time so it might be handy to have with you."

"I'd assume," Adah responded, shifting slightly as she tucked the clipboard against her chest, having completed all of the checks, "that, at that point,the last of one's concerns would be clean hair. Unless, of course, the remains of these aliens contained harmful agents. Flesh burning, perhaps, or microbiotic poisons that seep through pores."

Hey, if he looked closely, Cam might have been able to see a light grin.

"How about just stinking?" Cameron asked with a grin. "That can be harmful too. Should have smelled this place after the zombies." God, it was weird being back.

"But everyone else would smell the same." Adah shrugged. Somehow, she wasn't thinking that anything could smell as bad as some of the places in Africa, so she was finding herself slightly bored with the conversation. Not that this was unusual for her. "Did you need anything, then?" she asked, getting to the stuff that mattered. "Feeling okay? Any changes that should be noted?"

"No. I'm um... I'm fine. Didn't mean to keep you up," he said quickly.

"I'll be back to check on everything again in not too long," Adah nodded slightly, giving a passing glance t the dog. Again thinking that having a dog in the clinic wasn't a good idea, but who was she to say anything? Maybe she'd just spent way too much time in a place where anything with more fur than what you had on your head spelled trouble. "So, if anything changes, let me know."

"Thanks," Cameron said softly. "I will." No, he probably wouldn't.

Ray looked up with big eyes at Adah, probably sensing the disapproval as he rested his head on his paws and looked generally miserable on purpose.
