"And do you like where this future is going?"

"I really do. I'm...It's going to be weird, even if certain parts make sense..." Billy frowned thoughtfully. He hadn't really analyzed what he knew of his future before.

"How weird?"

"Well, for one thing, they're both test tube babies. Clones actually."

"I see." He didn't. "And does that make them any less your children?"

"Not in the least." Billy insisted. "It's just a little strange to think about."

"I can imagine. Do you think this will affect your future decisions and outcomes, knowing that this may affect these potential children?"

Billy let out a slow breath. "I've been debating whether or not to tell their biological mother about them. I have no idea how she'd react."

"You didn't inform her during the weekend?"

"She's not a student. She's...an old friend. When she's not the second in command of my father's terrorist organization."

"Really." He quirked an eyebrow. "Any indication how that worked out?"

"Well the kids didn't go into huge detail, but my Dad's associates have played around with cloning before, and apparently this time they used our respective DNA's to make the kids."

"Sounds like a hell of a way to make test tube babies," Stanley said wryly. "And they came out normal? Well adjusted and so forth?"

"Well Tommy seemed kinda hyper and had a hard time keeping a secret, I've no idea if that's normal. And Ana was rather carefully composed, if a bit paranoid. But given their parents, I'm not surprised about that."

"Do you think you'll have children in the old-fashioned biological way?"

"I don't think I had by that point, but I don't see why not. Someday."

"Yeah, that was the only noteworthy thing really."

"Yeah. I usually go out to Selkie Cove for that. It's, it's still not regular, but, things keep coming up."

Re: Stanley Keyworth's Office

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Have you tried to become more regular? Set day, set time? Every morning?"

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"I've been, trying to get back onto a normal routine of exercise and meditation, but I haven't gotten into a rhythm yet."

[identity profile] stanleykeyworth.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Getting a rhythm and keeping it can be one of the hardest things to do, especially in a stressful school setting. Triply so here, where things are less structured than at a more formal school."

"Are they?" Billy asked. "I didn't realize that. I mean, I figured most other schools didn't have time travel, or aliens and stuff, but I've never been to an actual high school before this one."

"In most cases, you have the same schedule all five days, divided by hours. Math first period, Civics second, English third, lunch, Science fourth, Arts fifth, Phys Ed sixth. This campus is arranged more like a college, with different classes at different times on different days. Less structured. More longer weekends because you scheduled no Monday or Friday classes, and no classes before noon."
