Not quite awake, nor either entirely asleep, Kiki lay still and limp on the bed, her flushed face and the rasping of her lungs with each breath an indicator of how ill she was. Her chart indicated that she had been admitted with a temperature of 101.5 and that it had now crept up past 102; there was the notation Acute lower resp. inf./pneu., along with a jumbled set of abbreviations for medications and doses.
There was someone there, Kiki could tell dimly - but not her mother. Didn't stop her from trying, though. "Mom?"
[ooc: Sure, go ahead :) I'm going to be away for the weekend starting this afternoon, though, so I wanted to make sure that Kiki was stuck somewhere with a good reason for not helping rescue Phoebe. At some point, I'll have Kiki's mother come to see her (contacting Kiki's parents can be totally handwaved; I'll post the visit either Sunday night or Monday), as I need the visit to set up future plottyness. Feel free to mod Kiki's fever all weekend, hee!]
The touch was cool and calming, and rapidly Kiki began to feel marginally better. Her temperature slowly inched lower, and her breath rasped less in her throat and chest.
Re: Exam Four - Kiki Takayama
Kiki twitched a little and mumbled. "Mom?"
