Clinic Hours - Friday January 13th 2006
Taking his time coming up from town, Wilson let Cash off his leash to run around the courtyard the way the puppy was used to playing in the morning. Sipping his coffee, he gave the young dog a half an hour before whistling and calling to him. Unlocking the clinic doors, he set about getting the place open for the day.
Cash ran down to the end of the hall and whimpered a couple of times at the door that lead to the apartment but a pause in his activities and a cuddle from the oncologist, coaxed the puppy back up to the front of the clinic. Coffee was started and music was put on, playing quietly at the desk. Rather than picking up his usual crossword puzzle, Wilson tugged out a small rubber ball and sat in the waiting room, tossing it up against the wall for Cash to chase and try to catch.
Doctor and puppy are in! By all means stop by.

The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"Um...hi?" He had forgotten that Dr. House had left for the weekend, but maybe this doctor was just as nice. "Do you want a flyer?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"A flyer? What is it about?" He asked curiously, holding a hand out for the sheet of paper. "And how long have you had the flu?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"You look flu-y...and you feel flu-y. Are you taking anything?" Then with just a breath to break up the two ideas he nodded. "Yes, why not. Gremlins are living creatures too after all, even if they are a pain in my as...backside."
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
Blair blushed. "Well, I-uh-" Blair pulled the unopened medicine from his backpack and held it up. "Dr. House gave me these to take."

"Good morning!" Wilson said with a welcoming smile. "How can I help you today?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"We certainly are. Come on back and I'll get some information from you and draw the blood."
Grabbing up a blank file, he started to walk back to one of the exam rooms.
"I'll just need you to fill out this form..."

((I can open the clinics Friday mornings every week now if that helps you, I've just had a very bad day, but this is pretty unusual for me))
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"Good morning, Miss Matthews. Yes, he left me a note about your joining our little corner of insanity. How are you this morning?"
[ooc: Sure! That would be fantastic going forward. :D]
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"I've been worse," she replies, "just kinda trying to keep busy now."
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"Well, busy hmmm okay. Besides helping me keep track of Cash, how about you help me go through all these new files we've got from the blood draws and get them in order?"
Hearing his name the puppy jumped up from where he'd been chewing on his ball in the corner and came trotting over, making friendly little whimpers and yips at Paige.

Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
He actually looks a little nervous, because he knows Wilson is going to be displeased with Grissom not coming yesterday. With everything that has been going on, it slipped his mind to call Wilson and set a new appointment time for Fridays.
Not that he didn't have a history of blowing things off, especially when it came to his health, but he respected Wilson and hoped the young doctor would conclude Grissom was absent-minded perhaps, but not intentionally avoiding his treatments.
Not that he didn't want to avoid it today - with the week he's had, he's exhausted, and by the afternoon it probably looks like someone went at him with a two-by-four.
Taking a seat, Grissom cracks a smile when Cash wanders over looking for attention, and Grissom's softly talking to the dog while he waits for Wilson.
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"Dr. Grissom!" Setting down the water, he walked towards the man. "How was your break? I need to thank you for the gift you and Sara picked up. I was really honored by that."
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"And you've done a lot for us," Grissom shrugs. "How was your holiday?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Friday 1/13/06
"It was a little rough. Personal matters but everything is now sorted out for the best and I'm ready for the new year."
Sitting down next to Grissom the way he usually did when the man came for treatment, Wilson tossed the ball for Cash to get a moment's peace.
"How are you feeling?"

"Hello, Alanna! How are you doi..." He peered at the hissing bag and quickly whistled Cash over to his ankle, his tone bringing the puppy to him with a 'whipped puppy' sort of expression.
"As I was saying...how are you doing today?"

Phone Call From Michigan
He didn't have much time to talk, one of the reasons he'd flown out Tursday evening was to be there to go with his mother to her follow up appointment with the cardiologist Friday morning. He cut the call short, assured Cash he missed him already, and hung up.
Re: Phone Call From Michigan
How did Daddy get in that small box???
"I know, it doesn't make much sense does it, Cash? Don't think too much about it. Just remember he loves you and that's all that matters okay?"
As if agreeing with this sentiment, the puppy darted forward and licked vigerously at Wilson's hand, then scampered off to find where he'd left his bouncy ball.
