Clinic Hours - Thursday January 12, 2006
Wilson whistled softly as he walked about getting the Clinic opened up for the day. He was anticipating a delivery of supplies and so was dressed a little more casually than usual in jeans, a t-shirt and a flannel shirt under his pristine lab coat.
He'd been in Fandom for going on four months and had finally settled into the routine of lugging his own supplies and other wise handling details of a medical facility that he'd had orderlies and nurses to cover over the past couple decades. It was rather nice to be back into the habit and to know he still remembered the 'basic's' so to speak.
There was coffee brewing in the waiting room, though Wilson himself was enjoying a cup of tea as he sat behind the front desk, reading an oncology journal and waiting for the back door to buzz.
Doctor is In, come have coffee, bleed, emo all of the above!

The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Um, hello?" he called over the music.
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
Then he remembered Hank from a few months ago and with a slight shake of his head, he reached over to turn down the music and smile at the young...he was going to go with 'man' here.
"Good morning!" Wilson called out cheerfully. "How can I help you?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
[ooc: sent ya an email]
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Right on through here, we can talk privately."
[ooc: Got the e-mail, will work it in! :D Thank you!!]
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Hi, I hear you guys need to drain some of our blood? Also, I think I need to have occasional regular eye exams. You know, to make sure that I'm not having trouble with this thing," he says, tapping the left side of his head by his eye-patch.
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Good morning. Yes, we are asking for routine blood samples for the new school year but I'm afraid that for eye exams what we can do is write you a permission note to leave the island for care on the mainland. Unfortunately neither Dr. House nor myself work with eyes."

Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
What was frightening was the fact that he wasn't kidding about that last one.

He scratches his eye-patch. He'd have to ask Dr. Wilson about that form, the empty socket had really been itching lately.
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Other than the blood draw and the eye, is everything else all right?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"If you have previous medical records, we could put them on file here at the clinic." He suggested gently. They had so little background information on well... all of the kids. It made the job just that much more difficult.

"Good morning, Doctor."

"I'm doing fairly well. What brings you down here today?"

Wilson leaned against the desk and smiled at Stark.

She's just glad she doesn't have to steal that stuff this time. And that the self-defense club didn't leave her with any visible bruises.
And, ooooo, coffee!

"And what have you done to your ankle that needs a wrap?"

"It...ah...well." Wilson stumbled a bit over his words, thinking that so many of the dangers around Fandom were so far beyond you basic physical combat skills it was frightening but he didn't want to scare Nadia so instead he smiled and nodded. "Well, it's at least a good way to meet your fellow students. Have you been to the clinic before?"
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"Okay, while I check out your ankle I need you to fill this out." It was your standard form...

Age
Known allergies

Name: Nadia Santos
Age: 15
Known allergies:
Nadia thought about that one. How the heck was she supposed to explain the Rambaldi thing? After a moment she wrote:
Known allergies: Rambaldi elixer (I don't know what's in it. it's green)
Species: human
She set the card aside to watch as Wilson examined her ankle.
Re: The Waiting Room - Thursday Morning
"I could x-ray it but I'm fairly confident that you've only wrenched it fairly impressively and soft tissue wounds are notoriously more vindictive then actual breaks. Have you been keeping it iced and elevated?"

Exam Room 1 -NFB-
"So, what's on your mind?"
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
"Well, a couple of nights ago I was at this party, and I guess I got drunk. The thing is, though, all I had was root beer. here, I brought you a can to show you." He opened up his backpack and pulled a can of Willy Wonka's Fizzing Root Beer.
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
"Well...lets start with some of the basics. Did you leave your drink alone at any point during the party or did someone bring you the root beers already opened? Or did you always get them yourself and open them yourself?"
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
"All right. So no real chance that the rootbeer itself got tampered with at the party."
Pushing away from the counter he walked over to where Victor held out the rootbeer and took it from his hand, flipping it around so he could read the ingredient label.
"Do you know if you have an allergy to any of the following?" With that, he reeled off the list of ingredients found in the rootbeer...all the while making a mental note to NEVER eat or drink anything from Wonka's himself.
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
"You'll quickly learn that around here, everything is a little 'special'. We had an incident last term where a ham and cheese sandwich from the cafeteria caused students to sing ABBA any time they opened their mouth."
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Wilson turned the rootbeer over and over in his hand, looking distinctly thoughtful about something.
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Re: Exam Room 1 -NFB-
Wilson paused, thought about that and inwardly cursed House as the man had left him with all the bloodwork to do.
"Anyway, I suggest that you stay away from this particular beverage and perhaps any other soda products on the island until we confirm or deny what's going on."
