Jack O'Neill - Clinic Hours - Tuesday, October 25th

Jack comes in and sets up his things, homework, radio, mini-tv, and a few notebooks. He was hoping to have a slow night and be able to get some homework done before tomorrow. And to avoid Cuddy like the plague.

Jack clicked on the radio and cracked open a book.

"Shaddup," Parker mumbles, giving him a good glare, "and usher your make-out partner in here. I want details."

Parker's says nothing, but does grin wickedly.

[[heh. he wouldn't find it in Fandom. Her dad paid extra to keep it out of the records. Janet noticed it when she applied for her library card.]]

[*falls over laughing* Crichton and Angela were calling her Misty Moonshine when they were coming up with names for a bootlegging business, should Fandom need one. Heeeeee! (McKayla cracks me up)]

[And throw them at his head. Hee.]

Sam pokes her head in after O'Neill sends her back. "Hey, Parker. I didn't know you were in here, or I would have come back sooner."

Parker grins. "But not *too* much sooner. I would've hated to spoil your... talk, with O'Neill." She waves to the visitor's chair, nearly wriggling with glee. "So? How goes every little thing with you?"

Sam takes a seat in the chair, folding her right leg under her. "Everything's...good."

She bites her lip to hide the grin, but then she sees the grin on Parker's face and groans. "You heard. God, I'm such a moron."

There's no other explanation for that expression to be on Parker's face while she's trapped in here with a ruptured ulcer.

"Tile provides great acoustics, and O'Neill was yelping for a while there when he started to panic. Of course I heard." She pokes Sam's arm with an extra-manicured nail. "Congratulations, I guess. He finally stepped up. Where are you going to take him on the date date?"

"Thanks. I think. And I don't know that he stepped up so much as got pushed and pulled there while braying like he was a stubborn farm animal."

She looks determined and folds her arms across her chest. She's not sure either she or Parker will buy it. "I'm not taking him anywhere. He's taking me. I've made all the first moves I'm making. The rest is up to him."

"Oh, that'll be fun to see." Parker smirks. "If you're lucky, he can maybe manage dinner and a movie, but if he gets creative? I shudder to think." She shakes her head. "How long have you two been dancing around this, anyway? Keep in mind who I met at Cheyenne, and the bridesmaid who lives in our dorm who's told me just enough to make me curious."

"Don't talk to me about O'Neill creativity. It can really go either way, and the disturbing part is that they're both equally likely. If I needed it, you'd help me escape from jail, right?" Sam rolled her eyes at the idea of having let Jack loose.

"Obviously, this isn't to be repeated, Parker, but seven years, minus three months on his side."

"I helped you seduce teachers who were on hormones. Jail is cake, compared to a little jailbreak." She grinned. "Or, I could just put up bail. But I'd think an escape would make a better date."

Parker blinks at that information. "Hunh. That *is* a good chunk of time to know someone and not have it go anywhere.... I mean, I've known people that long, but that's completely different."

Re: Still on duty (Pre-Radio)

[identity profile] carter-i-am.livejournal.com 2005-10-26 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"This is how you know who your friends are. Not just that they'll put up bail, but that they'll organize the jailbreak because it's more fun. You're good people, Parker."

Sam smirked, then rolled her eyes and Parker's next words. "Tell me about it." She got curious and sat up eagerly, hoping to get the subject off herself. "Who have you known that long? How is it different?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-26 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker grinned at the 'good people' comment. "And you and your Colorado crew are fun people. So that works out for us all, doesn't it?"

At Sam's question she looked surprised, and a little edgy, then shrugged. "Oh, you know. There's a couple guys I've known since I was about nine or so... you don't think boy-girl things at that age, you know. They're just your friends. We know most of each other's secrets, and I'd certainly break *them* out of jail, but date them? Pffttt."

"I guess it does. But you still can't keep Murray."

Sam wondered at the myriad of expressions that crossed Parker's face, but decided not to push. The girl did have a ruptured ulcer after all. "It must be nice to have had friends from childhood with whom you're still in contact. So you don't date them. They're still your friends, right?"

"Nuts. Not even for a little while?" Parker wheedled.

"Exactly," Parker said firmly. "Angelo writes-- well, as much as he ever does. Jarod calls, sometimes. I wish they could be here, but it'd be.. kind of weird, if they were. I haven't seen them in almost two years."

"You can take that up with Murray when he comes for Parents' Weekend, all right? So you better get well soon--otherwise you won't have the energy to negotiate properly."

"Why would it be weird? And just because you're away from someone doesn't mean you're any less friends with them. I mean, look at Charlie, Janet, and Daniel."
