Jack O'Neill - Clinic Hours - Tuesday, October 25th

Jack comes in and sets up his things, homework, radio, mini-tv, and a few notebooks. He was hoping to have a slow night and be able to get some homework done before tomorrow. And to avoid Cuddy like the plague.

Jack clicked on the radio and cracked open a book.

"Ookay. Jack, that may be the most unhelpful identification in the history of identifications." She rolled her eyes. "If someone other than you were to meet him on the street, and they knew his name, what would they call him?"

"Mrs. House? Lollipop-Man? White-Coat Boy? Oh He of the Non-Phasing?"

"Jack? What is the man's name?"

"I honstely don't remember. I'm sure he has one though. Blondish, kinda yay-tall, wears a white coat sometimes, doesn't have a cane to beat people with but probably wishes for one most days?"

She sighed. "Does Doctor Wilson sound right to you?"

"Well since Nurse-Boy House isn't him I'll assume that's his name."

"He's a nice guy. Very thorough. ~~Didn't need a blood test.~~"

"Very nice. The kinda guy you can trust. Holds up well to a teasing too."

Sam smiled, understanding the unspoken message. "And hey, he hasn't killed you yet, so he must have the patience of a saint."

"Did you know there is actually someone out there more difficult then me? And that he lives with him?"

"..."

"I don't think that's possible. I don't know why you're lying to me, ~~sir~~, but I don't appreciate it."

"Cross my heart. He hit me with his cane my first week here."

Sam bites her lip to keep from grinning, but she's pretty unsuccessful. "What'd you do to deserve that?"

"I don't remember but I think I changed a TV chanel or something."

"Of course."

"Do you want to go out on a date sometime?"

Oh, Holy Hannah, what the hell was in that shot?

Parker, who has been listening with interest, just about falls off her hospital bed.

Much better than General Hospital!

*sends call-me-and-gossp-NOW-Parker vibes*

Jack hears a loud creak come from the back room.

"Parker? You okay back there or you need some help?"

A pause, then:

"Fine! Just fine! Listening to my iPod, it fell off the bed. No worries. Go on with... whatever!"

There is a very very silent silence after that.

Jack is completely dumbstruck for a moment.

"I... yeah, I mean... You mean like a date date?"

You didn't just say date date, did you? You did you stupid idiot!

"Yes, Jack," Sam says, heart in her throat, trying to pretend that this answer isn't really, really, earth-shatteringly important. "A date date. With me, in case you were confused about that part."

"No. I mean, not confused no, not no no." Jack hit his hands against his forehead. "What I mean, in my immense stupidity is yes. That sounds good. When do you want to do it? The date. When do you want to do the date I mean."

This is ridiculous. You have a problem speaking now?
