Jack O'Neill - Clinic Hours - Tuesday, October 25th

Jack comes in and sets up his things, homework, radio, mini-tv, and a few notebooks. He was hoping to have a slow night and be able to get some homework done before tomorrow. And to avoid Cuddy like the plague.

Jack clicked on the radio and cracked open a book.

"Yes, Jack," Sam says, heart in her throat, trying to pretend that this answer isn't really, really, earth-shatteringly important. "A date date. With me, in case you were confused about that part."

"No. I mean, not confused no, not no no." Jack hit his hands against his forehead. "What I mean, in my immense stupidity is yes. That sounds good. When do you want to do it? The date. When do you want to do the date I mean."

This is ridiculous. You have a problem speaking now?

Sam's answering grin is huge. "Good." She tells herself that's not a huge sigh of relief she just heaved. "This weekend's Parents' Weekend, and I don't want to wait until the weekend after that. So you pick a day, and an activity, and we'll pretend that we're rational people who have actually dated before, okay?"

She laughs with sheer delight, then leans over the counter to kiss him.

Seeing her smile Jack can't help but smile back. "Thursday good? We could get something to eat in town maybe."

Jack's eyes widened for a moment when he felt Carter's lips on his, but he quickly kissed back eagerly. God he hoped she wasn't possessed or anything, it would suck so hard if she suddenly forgot all this.

After a few minutes, Sam pulled back from the kiss. Maybe being a teenager again did have some perks. "Better without the alcohol."

"Much." He agreed. Okay. Maybe he didn't hate Loki and Thor completely...

She eyed him skeptically. "If you dump me or blow me off to hang out with Murray, the world better have been on the verge of ending. That's all I'm saying."

"As long as we understand each other." She smiled. It probably wasn't healthy to be this giddy and stupid all at the same time. "So...how much longer are you on duty?"

Jack looks at his watch real quick. "About two hours. Tuesday's tend to be my short day."

"Huh." She checks her own watch and notices that it's later than she'd thought. "Want me to hang around, or do you need to concentrate and look like you're working? I've got a code I need to work on as prep for Shop Class tomorrow anyway, and I wouldn't want to get between you and your paperwork."

"I should probably at least try to get some of my homework done, and I certainly wouldn't want to keep you from yours. I'll see you in class tomorrow though, right?"

"Yeah. In class." She picked up her bag. "Bye, then, I guess."

Okay, this? Was now officially stupid. She was an adult. Next thing she knew, she'd be telling him to hang up the phone first.

She snickered to herself. Never happen. It's still Jack.

"This also isn't getting you out of being the condom fairy for Halloween. Just so we're clear."

Oh crap. He had completely forgotten about the costume.

"Well darn it. I guess that means I'll have to buy you food for some other reason then." Jack answered back sarcastically.
