FTEC – Saturday [January 31]

Ino had the radio turned up, a little louder than she normally did while at work, and was slumped in her usual chair, legs over one of the arms, back resting in a position that was comfortable only because she’d had the thought to stuff a small pillow behind her for support. Her feet kicked at the air idly as she read and hummed along to the music.

All in all, it was very much business as usual, and Ino was quite fine with that.

Ichigo entered the clinic, carrying a bag of pastries and a tray of hot chocolates. It was just his luck to walk in when Ino was singing and he winced. "Are you trying to make it rain?"

He smirked and put both the food and the drinks on the counter. "That you can't sing."

He was living dangerous today.

"I don't know. Should I go check outside and see if it's still dry?" he asked, overly confident he was going to get out of this without bruises.

"Uh huh. Course you have," he nodded and slid her drink across the counter. "Did you use it to talk to Liir?"

"No then," he decided, leaning against the counter as he opened the bag of pastries and he held it out for her.

"Okay," he raised an eyebrow and glanced into the bag. "Not good?"

"That's fine," he said easily, leaning forward across the counter to kiss her.

"Hey," he said, smiling gently at her as he straightened up and held the bag out again. "You need to eat if you want to sing."

"Yes," he nodded. "If you don't, I have permission to strap you to one of the beds and force feed you."

"It's not..." He started before the flustering caught up with him and he turned brightly red. "Shut up!"

"It was a threat," he grumbled crankily.
