FTEC , Sunday, January 20 -- Evening Shift.
There were medical books and bottles of aspirin to make carefully balanced towers out of on the front desk today, but they weren't getting much attention. Adah had collected them and set them up, only to have them abandoned for brooding. She was trying to figure out the reason for the closed library earlier when she'd shown up, with a lightly lingering tugging in the back of her bran that she'd been missing....something this weekend.

Times like this it was really a good thing Brooke didn't have Jaina's access to the Force. Just imagine all the attempted mind-tricking and telekinesised drugs that would be happpening.

She returned later with an orange bottle of pills. "Percocet," she said. She was doing a lot of research to catch up on the 45 years she'd missed in medical technology, and that showed up often. "That should help the....pain."
Of course, Adah had filled the bottle with nothing but a big fat placebo, but she was having a feeling that Brooke wouldn't be able to determine a difference.
