FTEC, Tuesday, January 15 - Day Shift

Christian opened up the clinic and sat behind the desk with the latest issue of Maxim, hoping for a short, quiet day.

The doctor is in.

A short quiet day wasn't likely to happen. Ino showed up with two frogs, two unconscious people - Deadpool-san and Cable-san - being carried by the frogs, and Yondaime with her.

She put her hands on her hips and snapped, "We need help! Right away."

Christian eyed the frogs. "Those two we can help, but this isn't a vet office," he said.

"The frogs don't need help," Ino snapped, "but we couldn't exactly carry them any other way. Get them to a bed and we'll get rid of the frogs."

"I give the orders around here, kid," Christian snapped right back. "Exams One (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/434956.html?thread=9631756#t9631756) and Two (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/434956.html?thread=9632012#t9632012). Then get the frogs out of here, and make sure you clean up any slime trails."

If needed.

Red pajamas and all.

Ino and Yondaime got the very unconscious Deadpool off the frog and on to the bed.

"What happened to him?" Christian asked, looking Deadpool over for any obvious signs of injury.

"He went unconscious." Ino looked worried. "Cable-san did the same, at as near as we can tell, the same time."

"Did you see it happen for either of them?" Christian asked, taking Deadpool's vitals and examining his head for any injuries there. "I need to get this mask off to properly check him out."

"I heard it happen to Cable-san," Ino said, "well, him falling. And I was up the stairs pretty close to immediately after that."

Christian carefully rolled up Deadpool's mask so he could check to see if it was hiding a head injury. Then he paused. ". . . does he always look like this, or is this new?"

Ino shrugged helplessly, taking one glance and making a face. "I have no idea, I've never seen him without the mask." She looked at Yondaime-sama for an answer.

"It's not new." He said.

"So that means it probably doesn't have anything to do with this, right?" Ino waved one hand to indicate the unconsciousness.

"Good to know," Christian said, making a mental note to try to sell Deadpool on plastic surgery in the future. "I don't see any signs of trauma, but he seems stable," he went on. "I'll have to run tests to figure out why he's unconscious."

Without red pajamas.

They managed the same for Cable, and then Yondaime got rid of the frogs. Ino, on the other hand, wasn't going anywhere.

Cable offered absolutely no resistance; beyond a faint blue shimmer of energy and the soft glow coming off his eye - a regular feature - he didn't move.

Ino sat moodily in a chair next to his bed and considered what she knew about minds. Could she wake him up somehow?

Stan was refraining from headdesking and wondering how long it could be before he could step foot in the Arms Hotel again.

He had really messed up.

Oh look someone to distract the doc from his own problems.

This is good news, because now Stan can stop worrying and start projecting. "Hello, Mr. Kessler."

"Hi Doc, how's it going?"

"Interesting weekend," the Doc replied dryly. "How was yours?"

"Not too bad. I may have started out on the wrong foot with my religion teacher."

"That is never a good thing, I think I can safely say. What makes you think that?"

"I mentioned getting along with Lucifer when he was in town. It didn't go over well."

Stan did not chuckle. "I can see how that may be taken a way other than probably intended." Probably.

"I'll admit I may have been testing his objectivity. Though I did get along with Lucifer during the one conversation we had."

"It is important to get along with people, no matter their origins or personalities," Stan said, stating the obvious.

Frakking flowers. We hates them, yes we do.

Which would you prefer? Booze or a rifle?

Both, please! First the booze, then the rifle. Although then my aim might be off.

Did they change the orders again?

Nah, color mixes.

Never mind that the vendors planted product several weeks ago.
