The island was once again full of children, so Stark had once again made sure to have a supply of candy on hand for sharing. He also had a squirt gun on the desk he'd brought with him from the park. This way, he figured, he was prepared for both friendly and unfriendly children.



[Up a wee bit early as I have to go out for a couple hours soon. Pings will be picked up when I return (8 EDT or thereabouts, I think), of course, and The alien is here and happy to have visitors, weetiny or otherwise]

Stark thought about that for a moment. Then he shrugged. "Don't know. Never asked who was in charge of lollipops. Probably the doctors are. Or one of them. Maybe the nurse. Or it might be someone else. I don't know. Why?"

"No reason," Summer said innocently.

"I don't believe you," Stark said, eyeing her warily.

[absolutesnark]

"Why not? I don't lie." Much.

[stykera]

"I don't know that's true," Stark pointed out. "And you kicked me. So maybe I don't trust you."

[absolutesnark]

"I was being honest when I kicked you," Summer said. "I was mad about the grape. No lie."

[stykera]

"Doesn't matter if it was an honest kick," Stark said. "Still a kick. And usually it is hard to trust someone who kicks you when you haven't done anything wrong." Of course, he ought to be used to that.

[absolutesnark]

"Whatever," Summer said, rolling her eyes. "I'm gonna go somewhere else to find an good lollipop, not stupid grape."

She ran out of the clinic before getting a response.

Stark just stared after the girl for a long moment. Then he shrugged and sat back down at the desk.
