FTEC, Monday Morning

Elliot was in a good mood as she came into the clinic -- she had a strawberry smoothie and it had been a beautiful weekend.

The mood did not dissipate as she checked the charts and realized two patients had stayed overnight. Having something to do was nice, and it looked like they were both healing well.

She checked on Sam and Annette before settling in at the desk and trying to catch up on her e-mail.

[OOC: I'll be offline from about 11 until 2 or so around but possibly slow. Visitors, go on to the rooms if you want.]

"I don't like it," Dean said with a frown. Ethics at least he'd be there too and could make sure that Sammy didn't overdo it -- even if he had to go to Anakin for backup. But he wasn't in Sammy's other class and sometimes finals could get really stenuous. "You're not up to class."

"Yes I am," Sam protested. "Look, Dawn's in class with me, and I'm sure Dr. Orpheus will understand if I can't finish whatever we're going to be doing. But I have to try. My grades depend on it."

"There's some things more important than grades," Dean told him.

"Maybe to you there are. But doing well is important to me." Sam sighed softly. "If I thought I couldn't handle it, I wouldn't ask to leave."

"Your brother's right, Sammy," John put in. "I understand you want to do well at school, but your health is more important than that. You're not going anywhere without the doctor's okay."
