FTEC, Wednesday Night

Natalie made her way over to the desk, looking over the notes for the past few days, and was surprised. Had she missed an invasion? She didn't think so; she would have heard the commotion. Giving the patient charts a good once-over, she headed for the rooms to check on them. Nat couldn't help but wonder what it was these kids kept getting into...

When she wasn't checking on the patients, Natalie was bouncing back and forth between the lab and the front desk. An instant messaging program was open on the laptop, and she appeared to be having an intermittent conversation.

Liz had managed to get a couple of hours sleep but that hadn't done much to stop her from feeling tired.

She was now awake and had her free hand on the scar on her forehead, trying to figure out what had happened to it. It had healed a couple of months ago but now it was like it had been when those rocks had first hit her.

Agatha walked into the lobby, having heard on the radio that John was admitted into the clinic.

Lana woke up from another nap to find Tori had handwavily brought her purse and cell phone for her. She winced when she saw the number of messages that had been left - especially those from Jim in Japan - but didn't take the time to listen before dialing Jim's number.

"Jim!" Lana responded and had to fight hard not to burst into tears just at the sound of his voice. "Thank God, I reached you."

"Yeah right." Agatha walked in. "So, what happened to you?" she tried to sound gruff, but concerned laced her voice.

"I'm okay," Lana said, trying to keep it together, but slowly fracturing. "At least mostly. I was... I don't know what happened. Something terrible and I was gone at least a week except only a day had gone by and there was no food and almost no water and, I don't know, terrible things happened, but I'm in the clinic now and safe, I think, even though I'm still so scared and I'm sorry I didn't call, but I was gone and then I didn't have my phone and god, I'm so sorry and I miss you so much!"

She was clearly trying to hide her sobs by the end.

John sighed. It was easier now, what with meds. To sigh. "I don't know what happened. I was in my room listening to music, doin' a bit of dancin'. ANd then...I was back. But it was different. Couldn't move. Couldn't think. I'd only felt that way once before."

"And when was that?" Agatha sat down on a nearby chair and looked john over.describe what is wrong with him?

John shrunk into the bed a bit. "I..." He doesn't say anything more. HIs eyes are a bit less hollow, and his flesh has pinked up. The marks are clean, but will leave some scarring from whatever was done to him.

"Lana - Lana, it's okay, just -" Muffled, like yelling off to the side. "No, I can't hang up! I don't care if I'm bothering the other flipping patrons! Lana, I miss you too, everything's okay now. Are you hurt?" Jim's voice was tight and worried.
