Christian opened up the clinic in the morning and was surprised to find patients. What the hell were these kids getting into now? He checked on them and made sure they were resting comfortably, then settled in the lobby with a ~~pr0n~~ magazine.

She came in and near to Tori, standing along side the bed at her left. She was trying really hard not to cry and had to blink away the moisture that gathered.

Annette reached for her hand and asked the only thing she could think of, "Where did you go?"

"I don't know, I can't remember." Tori admitted, with a frustrated grimace. "All I remember is watching television with Conner in the common room and then heading back to my room. The next thing I know I'm here."

A feeling of dread suddenly creeped into Tori's head. "Annette... what day is it?"

Annette was already frowning, looking down at Tori. She had tons of questions but answered the one Tori asked of her, "It's Tuesday. You were taken yesterday. I...saw it, Tori...I saw it happen."

"Tuesday?" Tori couldn't believe it. "I... it felt like I've been gone for a week." Nothing seemed to make sense. Hearing Annette's sentence, she looked at her friend, wanting to know what happened but afraid to know, at the same time. "What happened?"

"A week?" Dear Lord, what happened? She wasn't sure if telling Tori what she saw would help her, emotionally wise, but she knew if she were in Tori's position, she would want to know.

"You were standing in the hallway and there was suddenly a blinding white light. It was so intense and it surrounded you. When it faded, you were gone."

"It doesn't make sense." Tori admitted, with a rueful smile. She sighed, wondering what was going on.

"I... I don't remember any of that happening." She felt like she was going to cry. Why couldn't she remember anything? Suddenly, a few images flashed in her head, involving scapels and a dark room. She gasped and tried to shake the images out of her head.

"It doesn't. Not any of it." Annette watched her carefully.

"What Tori? What is it? Are you remembering something? Who did this to you?" Annette was close to tears herself and hated this weak feeling of not being able to do anything for her.

"No. And that's what scares me the most." Tori admitted, with a shaky sigh.

She opened her eyes and this time the tears fell. "I saw scalpels and a dark room... and I think they were used on me." Tori managed to explain, though her voice was shaky. "I... I don't know who it was. I couldn't see them."

Annette had to cover her mouth with her hand to keep any noise she wanted to make, from coming out. Her eyes watered and she cried for Tori, and the hurt she had to endure at the hands of some sick...possibly other worldly...person. Or thing.

"Oh Tori, I am so sorry. I hate this for you. For everyone that this happened to. Maybe they know more and can help. I haven't visited them yet." She paused and grabbed a tissue, handing it to Tori. "Did the doctor check you really good?"

Tori managed to stop her tears, not wanting to upset Annette.

She gave Annette a small smile and took the tissue, wiping her eyes with it. "Thanks. Dr. Troy said I'll be fine with some rest. He said I wasn't as bad as the others." She shuddered, the movement hurting her head and she winced. "I really hope they're all okay. I don't know if I really want them to remember what happened... I'm afraid of what they'll have endured." Tori admitted.

"Listen to Dr. Troy, he seems like a very capable ~~totally hot~~ doctor. Rest is the best thing for you, Tori. And I know I am pestering you by asking questions. I'm sorry. I just wish I knew who dared to do this to you and the others."

She tucked her hair behind her ear and regarded her friend thoughtfully, "Is anything broken...or...I'm not sure of your injuries."

Tori nodded in agreement. "He does." She sighed. "I don't know if I'll be able to sleep... I'm afraid of what I might see." She admitted, a bit scared of finding out what had happened. "You don't have to apologize for anything, I'm glad you're here." She gave Annette a small smile. "When I find out who did this..." Her hands clenched tightly into fists. They would not go unpunished.

Tori shook her head. "I don't think so. I'm just sore and cut up." It wasn't as serious as it may have looked.

She nodded, because she could understand that. "He should give you something to help you sleep deeply. Maybe he will before this evening, Tori." She tilted her head and smiled gently back at her. "I'm here for you and when yoou ever find out who did this, their going to get it doubly from me too." She could kick some serious butt if she wanted. Sure she could.

"Why don't I sit over there, in that chair by the window, and let you get some rest. If you fall asleep and it's not a comfortable sleep, I will wake you up. How does that sound?"

"Possibly." Tori agreed and smiled brightly. "Thanks, Annette. I really aprreciate it." She chuckled. "I feel bad for them. There'll be nothing left after you're done." Tori really did believe that, she saw the fire in Annette's eyes. It reminded Tori of herself.

"That sounds wonderful, thanks." She grinned, appreciating everything. She was glad Annette was there with her. Tori wasn't sure she'd be able to stand being alone. She closed her eyes and attempted to get some rest, she hoped it was a peaceful rest at that.
