Christian opened up the clinic in the morning and was surprised to find patients. What the hell were these kids getting into now? He checked on them and made sure they were resting comfortably, then settled in the lobby with a pr0n magazine.

"Like hell." Billy said. "But less like hell than I did last night. That's good right?" His eye patch was gone, revealing the scar tissue underneath. "What happened?"

"You tell me," Christian said, reading Billy's chart. "You were brought in last night suffering from dehydration and malnutrition. And you've got some small holes in your head. Trepanation the new campus craze?"

Phantom pain lanced through Billy's head, and he could almost hear his father's laughter. "I what?!"

"Dehydration, malnutrition, and holes in your head," Christian repeated. "That kind of treatment went out in the dark ages."

Billy tentatively raised a hand to his head. "How...last I remember was walking in the park last night." he said. "And then someone brought me here."

"You were found in the park last night," Christian said.

"Right." Billy was starting to remember the previous night a bit. And something...no it was gone.

But something nagged. "What day is it?"

"Tuesday," Christian said. "Tuesday afternoon."

Billy stared. "What? But, it, it was Sunday when I was in the park." His internal clock however was poking him. "Are you sure it's only Tuesday?"

Billy buried his head in his hands, but immediately jerked them away, remembering the holes, and that made his head hurt. "Ow."

"The wounds will heal just fine," Christian said. "You need rest and fluids."

"No," Christian said. "But you have to promise you'll rest and come back to the clinic at any sign of infection."
