She cut herself off sharply with the reminder that nothing was imposible, especially not here. She swallowed down a lump in her throat, going over some of the things that had already been said, the diagnosis...what the hell had happened to her?
Questions, perhaps, best answered another time. //"Ami, we mustn't worry about these things now. You should rest..."//
Setsuna held her breath. Scalpels? What the hell happened to her? Briefly, she wondered if something could be administered to help Ami get to sleep with more ease, but...
//"You must try, Ami. Perhaps...we should talk of something else, just for a bit, to get your mind off of it for now. We can figure things out another time. Right now, rest is important..."//
And maybe talking of something else would relax her so that she could sleep without distress.
Setsuna frowned. Of all the things to talk about, wh-- well, it was something that didn't involve scary knives and mysterious, unaccounted for days, so Setsuna had no choice but to go with it. So long as it distracted Ami enough that she might perhaps pass out again...
//"Well, uhhh, we got together for tea earlier today. I...suppose that isn't very exciting, though. They do have really nice tea lattes at the Perk, though; perhaps when you're feeling better, we should go together one day..."//
Nice, Setsuna. A near unconscious girl asks you about your boyfriend, and you ask her out on pretty much a date...
Setsuna smiled lightly and her blush was one of guilt. //"He's absolutely wonderful. I do wish sometimes that he were a bit more social; not many people know him because he keeps to himself a lot, but he's shy...."//
She hesitated before continuing because a part of her really didn't want to know too terribly, but the edicts of polite conversation, even with a girl barely conscious, required her to ask, and she should really focus the conversation on something Ami can talk about, so she might tire herself out more. //"How about things between you and Billy? Are they going well?"//
Ami smiled a little. //"Billy is incredibly nice. And i like him a lot. I think things are going well, but what do i know? I have never had a boyfriend before."//
//"I am glad he is nice, then,"// Setsuna nodded, and realized that was about the extent of the conversation she had. Boys, apparantly, weren't something she could talk very much on. But she needed to keep going. //"Umm....my first boyfriend was Jude. Do you know him? He goes here, too."//
//"I met him once. He filled out the form... for um..."// coherency was difficult //"for the dance matching up"// Ami could really have been talking about anyone and anything, she just needed to keep talking.
//"John means well... um i think one of them was the Nun... the other was my roommate."// Ami decided now was not the time to boggle at the dating nun.
Setsuna, however, was in the condition that she could properly gawk at John dating that crazy, crazy nun. And it just confirmed her theory about the nun. Entirely.
She glanced over at Ami, though, and reminded herself why she was there. //"You...feeling any more tired, Ami-chan?"//

There was a pause. //"They were girls, weren't they?"//

She dreamed of very bright lights, harsh restraints
not dirtyand scalpels. Always scalpels, reflecting the light, coming at her.
