Trevor never liked coming into the clinic to find injured students already there. He carefully checked on each of them before taking up his usual spot behind the front desk.

Willow snapped her fingers as though Marie had caught on. "Darn. Figured out my plan."

"I don't care if you do it," Marie assured her.

Willow smiled. "Oh. Well okay then." She noticed the time. "I'm supposed to meet Peter and his family for brunch. You going to be okay? Bearing in mind it's perfectly fine to say no, and thus give me a reason to avoid what's bound to be hours of painful embarassment."

"I've got my new bear to keep me company," Marie assured her. "And Jamie, if he ever wakes up," she added, glancing in his direction. "Why do you think you're going to be embarrassed though? I thought you and Peter's sister got along well."

"Peter's brother surprised us," Willow said. "On the one hand: yay, I get to meet more of his family. On the other: I was wearing about 80% less clothing than I anticipated when that happened."

Marie looked suitably horrified on Willow's behalf, but was suddenly grateful she had a mutation that required her to be covered from head to toe as that would never happen to her.

"And now you're all having brunch?"

Willow pointed to herself. "Hence the turtleneck and long skirt."

"You look lovely and very respectable," Marie assured her. "Peter's brother is a fool if he doesn't see that."

"Thank you," Willow said. "Oo - and I can threaten to withhold all the details of how the brunch goes until you get better. This way you have incentive to be good and do what the doctors tell you."

"Good." Willow went to hug her and then paused. "Is there hugging or bad idea?"

"Hugs are good," Marie said. "I have gloves and everything."

"Good." Willow leaned in all the way and hugged her.

"Thank you for stopping by and for my care package," Marie said, hugging back.

"I couldn't not," Willow said. She gave one last squeeze and then got up. "Hopefully I won't need to bring you another one, but if I do I'll be happy to participate in the care package delivery process."
