FTEC - Saturday Evening 10/21

Taking only an hour break between classroom meet and greets and getting down to the Clinic, Wilson refreshed himself with a quick shower and a small snack, planning to share dinner with Aziraphale later in the evening. He also changed out of his suit and tie in to jeans for the night, figuring comfortable took precedence.

Whistling softly as he carried his softsided briefcase into the clinic, Wilson set himself up behind the counter. He was a little surprised to find some flowers already sitting there and checked the card.

"Marie?"

Looking in the back, he didn't see anyone in the exam rooms so shrugged and figured that maybe someone had left them behind and would be back for them later. Taking himself back up to the front desk, Wilson settled in, tonight he didn't even pretend to work on his paper, he was playing with crossword puzzles.

Bel, still in demon form, shimmered into the clinic, unconscious Marie and Zuko draped over his arms. "Need a little help here," he said.

Wilson, who had just taken a sip of coffee, quickly spit said coffee back into the cup and jumped to his feet.

"Good lord, what happened?" He said, moving quickly towards Bel.

At first he reached for the girl but when he saw who it was, he quickly shifted his attention to Zuko, taking him from Bel.

"Put Marie in Exam 1 (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/220618.html?thread=6119626#t6119626) Bel." Wilson instructed calmly while he started to head to Exam 2 (http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_clinic/220618.html?thread=6119882#t6119882) with Zuko.

After the hullaboo of what happened this afternoon Jamie bursts into the clinic with a panicked look on his face. "Excuse me... Is Marie D'Ancanto here?"

After he finished with Bel and checked on Zuko and Marie, Wilson was coming up to the front desk, just in time for the first round of panicked loved ones.

"You...Jamie, I'm guessing because you don't look like Willow." Wilson said with a gentle smile.

"She's all right, she's resting comfortably."

Where Jamie is, Rahne isn't far behind. "Is it possible to see her now Doctor?"

Wilson looked at the woman he didn't recognize but, given that it was parent's weekend and he didn't expect anyone who would hurt Marie would be traveling with Jamie, he gave a small nod.

"For a few minutes. She is asleep and I'd rather she not be woken. Also, she lost one of her gloves."

He bit off the rest, not knowing what the woman might know about Marie and instead gave Jamie a pointed look.

Willow, looking worried, came in after her radio show and went to check on Marie.

Bel carefully carried Marie to Exam One and set her gently on the bed there. "Marie?" he said, hoping she'd wake up.

Marie didn't stir at all. She probably wasn't waking up any time soon.

While the doctor was in with Zuko, the nurse came in.

"Sir?" She said to Bel. "I need to take her vitals."

"Don't touch her skin with bare hands," Bel warned. "She's got a special condition."

Thanks to the drugs, Marie was sleeping peacefully in her room. The flowers from Jamie were right next to her bed where she would see them when she woke up.

Jamie marched into the room with Rahne trailing right behind him. When he saw her laid up in bed and the streak of white in her hair his shoulders sagged.

He walked over and gently touched her hair with his hand and kissed the top of her head.

Rahne looked awkward watching the whole event and went over to the flowers which was standing there and read the card.

"Ach. Jamie? Did you send these?"

Willow peeked in on Marie. She saw that Jamie was with her and decided not to crowd them. She left a note:

Hey, roomie! Get better soon! I'll bring a care package next time! - Willow

And then went back to the dorms.

After setting Marie down in the other room, Bel followed Wilson into Exam 2. He managed to shift back into human form. "Zuko's sister did this," he said. "Lightning got them." Bel's own jacket was smoldering a bit as well.

Getting Zuko onto his back, Wilson was cutting open his shirt with scissors and then whipping his stethescope about for a listen. He frowned at Bel.

"Lightening? Are you sure? I don't see any burns?"

At the comment about the fact that this was done by Zuko's sister, the young doctor paused.

"Are all family members of students, homicidal psychotics or is it something that happens to them when they cross the causeway?"

Bel grimaced a little at the memory of last night. "You're just running into the lucky ones," he said. "Zuko's sister zapped him, and Marie touched him, I guess to try to absorb some of it. So it went through him and into her, but he took the brunt of it."

"I'm fine!" Bel insisted. "Really, I'm okay." He was not wincing. Not at all.
