FTEC, Saturday Night, April 8

"What in the caramel chocolate Christ is it with these God damn tiny rabbits?" Tommy asked when he came in for his clinic duty. He tried to kick them but only got wee tiny hugs on his shoes in return. "If I find out which one of those God damn high school kids brought them in here I will pull their lower lips up over their face."

The wee tiny bunnies ignored him and continued hugging his shoes.

Tommy sighed and started his shift.

[ooc: OCD threads on their God damn way up. If you're here to visit a patient, consider yourself handwaved in. Tommy's player is a mite busy tonight so can only do FTEC stuff. He'll be available for general hanging out and shooting the breeze purposes on another night.]

He probably needed to go home or to an asylum. Either one would work.

Tommy heard noise in exam four. He went to check and saw GOB trying to suffocate the moose.

"Need me to leave you alone with your girlfriend?"

GOB put the pillow down. "No."

He picked the damned moose up and brushed him off as if there was nothing to see. "You saw nothing. Any word on when I can get out of here?"

Tommy could've checked GOB's chart but that would've involved - whaddyacallit - work. Instead, as though he were confirming what he knew about a diagnosis, he asked, "You're the magician, right?"

"Oh yeah?" Tommy nodded at him. "Do something funny."

"I said 'illusionist,' not 'clown.' I'm not out there to make people laugh, I'm out there for the art!" GOB said. He didn't know anything about the art of illusion. It just sounded good.

"Again, buddy. Magicians are losers. Their mommies didn't love them enough when they were kids. They dress up like crazy people for no good reason. Illusionists are about... the illusions."

For the record, GOB's mother didn't love him at all as a child or as an adult and he just dressed like a man-skank at times. He was, however, about the illusions.

"You don't really get the idea behind illusions, do you? They're not real. Making the wounds disappear would be magic," GOB explained, speaking slowly. "I'm not a magician or a wizard or anything."

"If you were Canadian or from Jersey I wouldn't have felt like doing anything that looked like a favor," Tommy said. "Since you're not and you want to leave - " Tommy shrugged. "Good enough for me."
