FTEC, Wednesday day shift

Tommy didn't want to say that having a flat screen TV made having clinic duty better. There was still the problem of having to, whaddyacallit, deal with sick people who expected to make demands on your time.

On the other hand you could not beat the reception.

Currently he was watching Legend Smashers.

Tex should have gone to get her stitches out on Monday, but she doesn't like clinics and has been putting it off for too long, add to that that she isn't really convinced the leg is healing well. So when Tex enters the clinic, there's a definite limp in her step.

"I was told to come back and get the stitches removed after a week," Tex said and motioned to her leg.

Tex sighed and hobbled over to the exam room. "Got shot," she said as she took a seat on the empty bed.

"Think you're funny?" Tex asked as she undid the snap to her pants.

That got a laugh out of Tex and she worked her pants down to reveal the bandages on her thigh. Seriously, there wasn't much more to say to that.

"It's been sore," Tex admitted because she might be stubborn, but she's not entirely stupid.

"Clean bandage twice a day with a salve against infection," Tex replied and sneered. "I thought it might be better than that mumbo jumbo that old woman was trying to sell me about bad spirits."

"Some crap about keeping a fucking bandage away from the ground because otherwise the healing will go out of the leg," Tex grumbled and shook her head. "As if I'm oging to walk around with a bandage around my foot."

Tex raised an eyebrow and watched what Tommy was doing. "I suppose so, especially on this island."

"I don't," she scowled. "You saw the chaos when Red skipped town. Too many idiots running around with guns, gives me a headache."

"I can pull the troopers from the streets if you're feeling homesick," Tex challenged.

"Not the sort of deliveries I usually make," Tex said simply.

"Why don't you ask the guy who gave me that?" She suggested, motioning to her leg.
