FTEC, Friday Evening

Natalie arrived at the clinic as close to six as possible, taking great care to keep to the shadows and out of the direct sunlight. There was a busy air about the clinic; the energy and goodwill generated by Janet's 'Chosen One Blood Drive' still lingered, almost palpable. Nat was sure something else was going to happen -- something had to, to save Angel. She could only sit back and wait. In the meantime, she would check up on Angel and settle in with her laptop.

[Posted early due to LJ's incredibly irresponsible timing. To quote Indy (in that really bad Scottish brogue), "How dare they?" Tags will change after some of the carnage has cleared.

Also -- I'll will be at dinner for a bit, so slowplay is the key until after sunset. ;)]

Front Desk/Main Lobby

The front desk stays fairly deserted during the night shift, with Natalie passing back and forth on occasion as she runs from her desk, to the lab, to exam 1, and back again. If you say something, it should get her attention.

Janet walked in with a hamburger--medium rare, even though she knew full well exactly what microorganisms could be hiding in there--an order of fries, and a large soda, then plopped down at a spare desk so she could eat dinner.

"I've been borrowing your lab again today, Dr. Lambert," said Janet. "I hope that's all right." They're such fun shiny toys.

Having walked with Rory to the clinic, Bridge sits down in a chair and waits as she goes in to Angel's room to visit.

Janet walked into the lab, wondering just exactly what it was going to be this time. Because it was bound to be something.

It didn't seem like it would be possible, but Angel looked worse. Spasms jumped along his muscles. His face was contorted with pain. He could possibly talk a little, but he didn't look like he could give too much.

Veronica stopped by the clinic to see how Angel was doing. The conversation they'd had last night had bothered her a lot more than she had realized.

She walked in and stopped inside the door, blinking at how much pain he appeared to be in.

John wanders over to the clinic towards the end of the day, hands in his pockets and, this time, no Sean. He hopes Angel hasn't gotten worse. He doesn't know if he can deal with Angel...well, he squashes those thoughts quickly.

Cordelia walked down to the clinic to see Angel before the cure. She walked in and approached the bed cautiously, not sure if he would be awake or not.

Parker walked in and saw how he was, and immediately bit the inside of her cheek to keep from yelling for Janet and demanding that they give him drugs. God, even if the cure worked, this couldn't be good for him. Clenching her jaw, she walked over to the edge of his bed. "Tell me what I can do."

Bel hovered at the door, not wanting to disturb Angel, but wanting to be there when they gave him the cure. Also, establishing self as there so Logan can kick him out. ;)

Lana slipped in quietly when there was a break in visitors. She couldn't believe how much worse he looked just since this morning. She sat quietly in the chair and just tried to think good thoughts for him.

Phoebe finished the spell with her sisters and then took a seat on a portion of the floor outside of Angel's room. She sat with her back against the wall and her knees drawn up to her chin... and she prayed to whomever might be listening.

Please, whomever is up there... don't take him from us. There are too many people who need him... too many people who will break if they lose him. He's a good man and he doesn't deserve to go out like this.

Chloe whose mun figured that she really should establish her being here sat quietly outside the room, fighting the urge to pace, or do anything that would result in her breaking down. She told herself that she had to just stay strong, no matter how hard waiting for something to happen was.

Parker had left when Janet walked in, her expression tight and closed-off.

If it worked, great.

If it didn't... well. Someone would have to finish Plan B.

It would probably be better if she didn't tell anyone what she was planning for that.

During all the noise and all the arguments, Angel hadn't said a word. He stayed right where he was, curled into the corner between the bed and the nightstand, and wished that it would end.

Phoebe felt a great deal of tension drain out of her when she heard the cure of the blood and the power of three spell was working and that Angel was going to live. They had all done it. Angel was going to live... they weren't going to lose him.

Phoebe stood up, relaxing her focus on the spell she and her sisters had cast... and that's when she realized something was very, very wrong. In focusing on the spell, Phoebe had managed to unconsciously block everything else. However, once the worst was over...the rest began.

She leaned heavily against the wall as it all came crashing into her mind.

So many emotions... so many powerful emotions from so many people...

She pushed herself away from the wall and slipped out of the clinic, hopefully without anyone noticing that she was leaving. She didn't want anyone to know, let them focus on Angel right now.

There were too many emotions from too many people and it was overwhelming her senses.

She stumbled away from the building, the emotions starting to make her head hurt. She made it across the street to the park and stopped for a moment, before forcing herself to try to walk back to the school.
