Clinic Hours - Tuesday January 10th 2006

Though he was running a little late you try getting dried apple pie filling off the next morning but the Clinic was soon bright and inviting (as much as a Clinic could be) with the fresh scent of coffee wafting through the air and a certain oncologist kicked back with a crossword puzzle stack of paperwork.

Doctor is in!

Peering over at the puzzle with a mischievous smile, Aziraphale picks up a pen and scribbles something on the paper. "There. Perhaps that will help, my dear," he says, eyes twinkling.

If Wilson were to look at the puzzle, he would see that that has filled in number 34 across.

Looking puzzled, Aziraphale leans in to check the puzzle again, giving Wilson a fond but exasperated look.

"You're incorrigable, James," he says, his lips twitching. "Really, do you think you ought to be thinking about such things here in the clinic?"

"James dear," Aziraphale says with wide-eyed innocence. "I thought you liked wine. Would tea be better next time?"

But he blushes just a little bit. "And you still haven't disproven my statement about you thinking about things you oughtn't be thinking about at work."

Aziraphale visibly swallows. "James, really," he whispers, blushing furiously and glancing toward the door. Then he steps up and gives the doctor a brief, warm kiss. "What if one of the students came in?"

"James, you wouldn't!" Aziraphale exclaims, although he knows of course that Wilson would do no such thing. At least...he's fairly certain Wilson would do no such thing. Probably.

"Whatever would you do, James, if one day I refused to be baited by your mischief and called your bluff instead?" the angel asks in an amused tone.

I can do this, the angel thinks. It isn't any different than at the loft.

He blushes again, but raises his hands to tug gently at the lapels of Wilson's lab coat. "You seem rather certain that I wouldn't. Perhaps you ought to recall that I've been helping Crowley out with the occasional bit of work now and then for a very long time."

"Technically, James dear, I'm not really British," the angel reminds him, not quite meeting Wilson's eyes but instead keeping his gaze trained mostly on where he hands are holding the white coat.

"And I don't believe I'd call it 'tempting'. I believe I'd say that I'm...offering you a choice. Free Will and all that, you know."

He returns the kiss for some moments, tightening his grip on Wilson's coat, until common sense finally gets the better of him.

"You win, James dear," the angel whispers in an amused tone as he draws back. "You're far more incorrigable than I am." His eyes twinkle a bit.

Aziraphale laughs. "I think I ought to be offended that you're abandoning me for cookies," he says, brushing a bit of hair from Wilson's forehead and then stepping around him to snag a cookie from the plate.

"I should let you work, and get back to the shop. I left Kiki there, doing her homework, although it's been rather quiet today."

"I look forward to it, my dear." Aziraphale smiles, stepping close to give Wilson a quick kiss and pop a cookie into his mouth, then he heads for the door.
