The passage of air was LOUD today and Wilson moved very, very carefully in an attempt to keep the air as still as possible. He was late opening the Clinic not because he was late getting *to* the Clinic but because he was moving very slowly…in the hope of keeping the air really quiet.

Getting the doors open, he started a pot of coffee and sucked back the third 20oz bottle of water he’d been drinking since about oh…not too many hours ago. Putting a happy face on, he managed to do rounds without passing out, which was a blessing, checking in on Rory, Logan and Jack before crawling back up to the front desk.

Sitting down, very carefully –DAMN AIR WILL YOU SHUT UP!- Wilson leaned forward till he could cradle his head on his forearms. Seven…liquors….what the hell had he been thinking last night?

Dragging his water bottle down into his lap to snuggle it close, Wilson reached for the half a piece of bagel he’d been trying to choke down for over an hour now. He was about half-way through it. By noon he might be finished with it.

If I live that long…Crowley is going to kill me.

Taking a slow breath, Wilson sat up and reached for a chart. He was being in his charting and really needed to catch up, if the little black squiggly lines would just stay still long enough for him to read them.

"Ah, yes, I have fond memories of that leather. Come on in," Logan said.

"Don't let Rory hear you say that, or she'll kick my butt." Callisto replies as she comes in. "So, how you feeling?"

"Much better, now. Jameson, this is Callisto," he said to the bottle. "Callisto, Jameson. Would you two like to get better aquainted?" He offered her the whiskey.

"Thanks." Callisto takes a swig from the bottle before offering it back. "Before I forget, I have a little present (http://img400.imageshack.us/img400/7968/carabaoa21ep.jpg) for you"

Logan took the item and held it at arm's length. "Um. Thanks. I think." He turned it over. "I, uh," he frowned at her. "Why did you think I would want something like this?"

"Well, you're in here because of Angelus. I figured you might like a stake close to hand, just in case. I gave one to Rory the other day."

"Oh!" Understanding dawned, and he looked at it closer. "It's a stake. For killing vampires." He nodded. "That's awesome. Thanks. I'll put it to good use." He tucked the stake under his pillow.

What did you think it was? Callisto wonders before continuing. "So I assume you've heard that Angelus is supposed to have a soul now?"

"I have," Logan said. "I don't see what difference that's supposed to make."

"Might make all the diffence, or might make none. A soul is hardly an automatic safeguard against doing evil." Callisto shrugs "In any case, it never hurts to be prepared, especially since our good friends in JA are probably running around like headless chickens trying to figure out how to get 'Daddy' back."

"I'm not all that certain 'Daddy' is gone," Logan said. "Which, by the way, is a creepy-ass nickname." He took a gulp of whiskey.

"You don't have to tell me. If I'd had to call him that during our Ethics assignment, well, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation. As for how much of Angel is Angelus, I'll hold off on that untill I've had a chance to run into him."

Rory hobbled over after visiting the waiting room (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandom_clinic/48542.html?thread=2421406#t2421406) and leaned against the doorjamb. "Knock, knock. Hi, Callisto. Want a lollipop?"

"Hey, Rory, you're looking better." Callisto grins, "I'd love one, thanks."

"Pick a flavor, any flavor," Rory said, still leaning in the doorway and fanning the stolen lollipops out in front of her. "Except red. I think Dr. House hoards those, because I couldn't find any."

"Eh, I'm more partial to orange myself." Callisto takes a lollipop and unwraps it. "How you been?"

"I'll take a purple one," Logan said. He gestured for Rory to come closer.

"You have good taste," Rory replied, shuffling over and handing him a purple lollipop. She unwrapped one of the same flavor for herself. "I also borrowed some post-its, since I know how fond you are of them," she added, smiling. "Figured we should do something fun our last night here."

"You want I should leave, because if you're planning anything kinky..."

"She brought me a stake," Logan grinned. He pulled it out from under the pillow and waved it at Rory.

"Ooh. Though I don't like that you bring that out in response to her asking that question," Rory said, peering at the stake and blushing very slightly. "It's pretty, though. You have good taste, Callisto."

Why is everyone responding like that? It's just a weapon. "I figured that if you could pass them off as something other than what they are, you'd get in less trouble if you get caught with them."

Logan coughed. "Yeah. That's an excellent suggestion."

Rory giggled. "Yeah. If you hadn't told me it's a stake, I wouldn't have known, and I would have wanted to have a serious discussion." Rory's color was beginning to come back full-force.

She coughed as well, and took a seat by Logan's bedside. "So. Anyway. Enough about the stake that looks like something dirty. What should we do to amuse ourselves? Because I'm bored."

Something dirty? Wha...oh. "I'd love to stick around Rory, but I promised Parker I'd be at Caritas tonight." Callisto grins "It was good to see you both. I'll catch you around."
