The passage of air was LOUD today and Wilson moved very, very carefully in an attempt to keep the air as still as possible. He was late opening the Clinic not because he was late getting *to* the Clinic but because he was moving very slowly…in the hope of keeping the air really quiet.

Getting the doors open, he started a pot of coffee and sucked back the third 20oz bottle of water he’d been drinking since about oh…not too many hours ago. Putting a happy face on, he managed to do rounds without passing out, which was a blessing, checking in on Rory, Logan and Jack before crawling back up to the front desk.

Sitting down, very carefully –DAMN AIR WILL YOU SHUT UP!- Wilson leaned forward till he could cradle his head on his forearms. Seven…liquors….what the hell had he been thinking last night?

Dragging his water bottle down into his lap to snuggle it close, Wilson reached for the half a piece of bagel he’d been trying to choke down for over an hour now. He was about half-way through it. By noon he might be finished with it.

If I live that long…Crowley is going to kill me.

Taking a slow breath, Wilson sat up and reached for a chart. He was being in his charting and really needed to catch up, if the little black squiggly lines would just stay still long enough for him to read them.

Logan's curled up on the bed beside Rory.

After talking to Dr. Wilson, Angela taps on the door to Rory's room. "Hey," she calls softly. "Are you up yet?"

Logan woke at the sound of the knock. It took him a moment to remember where he was, and why.

He gave the sleeping Rory a light kiss and got up to answer the door.

"Hey, Angela," Logan said. "She's not awake yet."

"Hi, Logan."

"Dr. Wilson said she might not be. Also to tell you to, um, go back to your room before her mom gets here," she says, rolling her eyes a little at the instruction.

"So are you feeling any better? Marty got Alanna to heal him, but he's still kind of ow-y."

"A little better, yeah." He leaned against the doorframe. "I'm sorry," he said. "I should've listened to you and Marty."

Angela's eyes are cool as she glances over Logan's cast and healing cuts. "Eh, it doesn't matter. You paid for it, and there's entirely too much guilt to go around. Some of which is completely mine."

"But thank you anyhow. It's funny, Angel tried to apologize to me too."

"If I'd listened..." Logan ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. "I heard he's been apologizing right and left. Hasn't stopped by here yet, though."

"Doesn't surprise me. I mean, it's not like there's anything he could say," Angela says.

She's clearly thoughtful. "He's different. Honest in this weird way that sort of gets through your defenses, y'know? I totally meant to cut him dead, but I ended up talking to him for a couple minutes. Still don't trust him, but I do think the spell worked. Either that, or he's the best actor in Fandom."

Logan snorted. "Who says it isn't both?"

"I hadn't thought of that," Angela says. "But -- yeah. Which is the scariest option."
