Clinic Hours - Thursday November 17th 2005

Wilson moved quietly through the Clinic getting the waiting room set up for the day, starting a pot of coffee and opening the doors.

He had restocking to do and paperwork and... more paperwork and it would be nice if he could figure out his own mind somewhere in all that but honestly, he just didn't want to think about some things so...yeah.

Paper Work
Coffee
Restocking.

But first, he swung through to check in on the patients, Jack and Phoebe.

Doctor on Duty, come sneak off with his coffee, Jonathan, you know you wanna.

[ooc: Phoebe!Mun, I'm going off the posting thread last night with House that Phoebe stayed overnight. If this was changed later, please let me know and I'll edit this post accordingly. :)]

"Morning, Doctor Wilson," she smiled back. "Yes, if I could. I can't believe he hasn't tried to make a run for it yet."

"Oh, and I brought bribes gifts for you and Doctor House, for taking care of him and putting up with all his crap."

"I secretly have his ankles duct taped to the bed." The oncologist gave his eyebrows a playful wriggle and then, just because he could, he reached for the bag of red lollipops, digging one out and popping it into his mouth.

"I am hoping to release him soon, Sam but...he absolutely has to learn that he can't run his body into the ground like this again." There was a gentle sort of seriousness to his tone.

Sam absolutely, positively didn't misconstrue that statement until she saw the eyebrow wriggle. Then she started blushing. Probably a use for duct tape she shouldn't mention in shop class.

"I know," Sam responded, taking a sip of her cider, "But I've known him for a long time now, and I don't know how to get him to stop doing it. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears."

Wilson gave a little snort, nearly choked on some lollipop juice and had to cough a couple of times before he could grin at Sam.

"Sam, I'm a doctor not a deity." Honest, he understood the workaholic type that was your Jack O'Neill's.

"In the end...it's a decision he has to make for himself but sometimes we can help by showing him there are alternatives to driving himself into the ground."

Sam blushed harder, then winked quickly at Wilson.

"Um...yeah," she fidgeted with the edge of the lollipop bag, "See, it's possible I'm not the best person to be talking to him about that."

Finishing out a lollipop he slid it over towards her with a warm grin.

"Then, maybe you two can work on it together, hmm?"

Sam almost refused--after all, the lollipops were for Doctor House. She ended up taking one, though, and popping it into her mouth, rolling it around on her tongue. "Thanks."

Sam's jaw almost dropped in surprise that a doctor treating Jack O'Neill was instructing her to spend more time with him to aid in his recovery. "Uh...sure, I think we could probably do that."

She couldn't wait to see the look on Jack's face when she informed him that they were under doctor's orders to relax and hang out together.

Well, she's practically become a member of the family over the past three weeks with the amount of time she'd spent in the Clinic and honestly, Wilson was greatful for her having been so diligent in visiting Jack. It had probably kept Jack from pursuing an intensely stupid course of action, like checking out AMA due to boredom.

"Go on back whenever you want, Sam. Call me if you need me, I'm sure I'll be around...somewhere."

"Thanks, Doctor Wilson." She made the familiar trek back to Jack's exam room and sat down to work on her Classics homework.

She promptly dozed off in the chair, feet propped on Jack's bed.
