Lisa's in the House

Lisa opens the clinic, immediately refreshes the condom supply outside the door (typical), and goes back to the fridge to check on the gremlin in there. It doesn't appear to have moved, but she pokes it just in case.

"Gremlin? Gremmmmmlin? Hello?"

Satisfied, she puts it back in the fridge and grabs a few signs she made out of her bag.

Free Vaccinations at the Clinic today.
Rabies, The Plague, Meningitis, The Clap, you name it.

Several vaccinations are still in testing periods. The Clinic claims no responsibility for any side effects that may occur.

She sticks one to the outer door, and several around the campus right outside the clinic. Coming back inside to wait, she flips on House's mini-tv to catch the Fandom weather report.

"Well it's just... I need some advice," he pitched his voice even softer, leaning in even more. "You see - gosh, I don't suppose you know anything about my home dimension, do you?"

"Okay, here's the thing," Angelus said, his manner that of someone who'd found a trusted confidant, "back in my dimension there's this prophecy about me. Heck, I guess you could call it a myth. It says that I'm going to play a big part in the apocalypse. Maybe on the side of good, maybe on the side of bad, nobody knows.

"Now personally I think prophecies are just silly," Angelus grinned, rolling his eyes to suggest aren't prophecies the dumbest thing you've ever heard? "but the catch is the student who did this to me? Thinks it's real. Not only that I could ever be so important which - wow, I just can't imagine. But that I'd be one of the bad guys."

Angelus finished up the story by gesturing to himself, and the bruises on his chest. "You can see where that belief got me."

[ooc: no worries, gave him time to monologue ;) Also I'll be leaving work soonish so there might be a point where it takes him a little bit to reply too. I will be on again, just have to get home first.]

"That's what I say," Angelus said, nodding his agreement. "Don't believe everything you're foretold. Still, what if I'm walking down the hallway again and this - " he gestured to his chest, wincing as he did " - happens?"

He coughed. He looked thoughtful. "Document... are you sure? I'm not trying to get anybody in trouble."

He offered her a warm smile back. Then it faded. "Look, doc, it's only fair for me to tell you that if anybody found out that you were nice to me, they probably wouldn't like it." He grimaced, gesturing at himself. "Possible world-ender, here. Plus I had what you might call a seriously misspent youth."

"But I want to," Angelus's mouth quirked with its own shy smile, as though the fact that she was smiling at him made him want to do so in return. "Tell, I mean. It's only right. I used to be a bad, bad person. I can't blame anybody who thinks I'm going to end up on the wrong side of the Apocalypse. Heck, I'm starting to believe it myself. I've hurt people. Good people. And in ways that... that just can't be excused.

"You say second chance," Angelus continued, "and I believe in that. I want my time here at Fandom High to be a good one. I want to learn." He gave her a rueful look. "I'm having bad luck with it so far. I already got detention because I ended up scaring somebody I honestly meant to flatter. Dr. Grissom - I don't know if you know him? He said he'd help me so I wouldn't do it again. I guess that's something."

Angelus gave a light laugh, the sound clearly aimed at himself. "Okay, babbling here. Sorry. You've just been so nice, and I don't want you to be punished for that. So if you wanted to stop being nice or - or stop talking to me forever, I'd understand."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-15 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"You - you already know who I am?" Angelus blinked in surprise. "Okay, now I really feel stupid. Still, I'm glad I told you. I didn't want there to be any secrets. Well - " he gave a half-smile, which some might have called one of his more attractive expressions " - from me, anyway. Obivously the whole being beat up for who I might be is confidential, right? I'm not trying to get anybody in trouble."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Angelus thought about it. "Okay. I'm going to take a chance here. I'm going to trust you. If you think we should do that - what'd you call it? Documenting? Then I will."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay, thanks," Angelus let out a long breath of air, as though he'd been holding it that whole time. "Man, I can't tell you how nervous it makes me to think of that report getting into the wrong hands."

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
"And that will count?" Angelus asked. "For the documenting?"

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
"I guess that's something," Angelus looked at her, bewildered hope shaping his features. "Is it? Something?"

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Considering what happened this morning I don't think I... well I wouldn't say not trust but I don't know if she's a fan of mine," Angelus said. "She wasn't real pleased about what happened yesterday. Plus she puts a lot of stock in my bad reputation. Not that I blame her.

"Is there somebody else in authority you think could help?" Angelus asked. "Somebody you trust?"

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2005-09-16 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Angelus gave her a small grin. "Would I get to put my pants on first?"
