Fandom Clinic, Monday 5/6

The nurses were giving Stark knowing glances whenever he happened to glance at one of them.

"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" he asked eventually after yet another smirk.

"No reason."

"Maybe I won't bring coffee next week," Stark grumbled without any heat. Everyone here knew that wasn't true.

"At least you're being reasonable," he said to Stabby. Stabby held up a "ConCrabUlations card in response and Stark just shook his head.

The clinic was open, the crab was making cards, and the alien was in.

It was with great reluctance that Ignis stepped into the clinic that afternoon.

Tragically loyal, indeed.

But he supposed there was a slim chance that Stark would be out when he walked in and he'd get the opportunity to deal with one of the nurses, instead. He paused a moment, listening carefully for the sound of particular voices, before cautiously approaching the desk.

"No," said Ignis.

Well, perhaps his pride, in this moment, but his own personal pain was rarely something of any import to him, anyway. He sighed, very slightly.

"But I'm worried Liliana might have come down with something," he explained further. "Sore throat, a rather nasty cough, and she seems to have lost her voice. I was hoping to procure something that might at least soothe the symptoms, if not outright put her on the path of recovery," assuming it was something as mundane as an infection, gods help them all if it was something far more arcane than that!, "which is why I'm coming to speak with you instead of Summer right now."

At least he knew Stark could sympathize with the idea that they'd both much rather be speaking with her at the moment, right?

"Over-the-counter feels like it may be putting a Band-Aid on a severed limb."
