“Well,” said one of the nurses drily, with a loud slurping sip of whatever beverage they were currently enjoying. “Look what the crab dragged in.”

“It’s summer,” Will shook his head. “I’m allowed to go on vaca- what on Earth is going on?”

“Oh, that,” another nurse said, with a dismissive wave at the gaggle of crawfish gathered outside Stabby’s tank. “They showed up this morning. Apparently the stained glass in the window made them think this place is a church. We’re sure they’ll figure out the truth eventually, but in the meantime Stabby’s enjoying the opportunity to give a sermon.”

Will sighed. “Honestly, why do I even ask?”

Arthur came in later in the day, his eyes flicking around to take in the sights.

The crab is off to the left in a tank, with weird bug things around him. That doctor that helped us is at the desk.

Arthur walked over to the desk. "Hello, doctor."

"Arthur," Will greeted. "What can I do for you?"

"I understand that two of Stabastian's cousins are missing. I've been hired to try to find them, and I was hoping I could talk to him about where precisely they went, when they were last seen, and so forth."

Assuming he talks.

"Yes, assuming he talks, but presumably someone can translate if not."

He hoped.

"Stabas- oh. Right. Stabby. Uh, sure," Will said. He gestured towards the tank. "I think he's in the middle of a," sigh, "sermon at the moment. But once he's done, have at it."

"Stabby." Arthur made a mental note of that. "A sermon? He's a priest to...whatever those are?"

They look like weird crab/bug things. Probably some weird Fandom creature.

"Crawfish," Will supplied helpfully. "And- I suppose so? Or at least he is today. I've learned it's best not to question what he gets up to too much."

"Right. Yes." Arthur shook that off. "Do you know anything about his missing relatives, then?"
