Fandom Clinic, Monday 7/17

Stark had had a good weekend. Monday was going well enough so far as well and when he made his way to the clinic with the usual coffees for the staff and himself he was smiling to himself.

The smile turned to a questioning expression when he saw Stabby on his Stabophone having what seemed to be an intense conversation.

"He's trying to rebook flights on Oceanic Airlines," one nurse helpfully explained. "Things keep getting canceled and moved around. He's very frustrated so I'd steer clear."

Stark nodded and picked up his coffee.

The clinic was open, the crab was annoyed as at the airlines, and the alien was in.

Even with a pig running around the store, Summer's orders had gone quickly, and by the afternoon, she was thoroughly getting bored with Instagram and Twitter drama.

You could only handle so much, really.

So she considered what else she could do with her phone, and that maybe, if she started normalizing texting him, Stark would actually think to do it every once in a while, especially when, you know, springing dead girlfriends on her!

cheese panda thinks i should get a cheese tattoo. Thoughts?

Hey. No one said anything about it being a good or meaningful text.

Stark didn't get many texts so he didn't send many. He was a little startled when the phone buzzed but he picked it up and grinned at the screen.

what kind of cheese
will the panda get one to match

If the cheese panda got one we'd have to shave him and no one wants that

Apu got either a slice of swiss cheese or proof that the cheese panda is a terrible tattoo artist so its probsbly a good thing there is no cheese i think i like enough to have on my body permanently forever

dont let the panda give you tattoos there are people who will do a better job

Stark sent that, then followed it up with

do you want a tattoo that is not cheese

yeah no there's no way im letting that guy anywhere near me with anything sharp and/or pointy.

And it's kind of surprising that i DONT have one at this point in my life really

I did have one, back in high school, but that was an apocalypse tattoo they don't last for shit apparently

Because, you know, Stark had met Summer and heard things about her weird life.

There was quite a considerable about of time that passed before Summer sent her response, having taken the time to actually think about it a little it.

i honestly have no idea. That's probably why i javen't actually gotten one yet, i'm too indecisive to make that much of a commitment

But, almost as if to prove that indecisiveness in real-time, it was followed, a quick moment later, with:

Stark thought about that, wondering where it might end up, then sent a followup.

Could you feel a frown through a text? Because Summer's frown at that might have been strong enough for it, maybe.

And idk i just always kind of liked horses? Mom's a horse surgeon, u know, so that probably bled over or something growing up

Into things like, you know, wanting to actually be a horse when she was little, because if she was a horse, maybe then her mom would like her more, but she was hardly going to go into that in a dumb bored-at-work text about tattoos.

Stark could probably feel the frown from across town.

Stark would like her less as a horse, though.

Summer could confirm from experience that being a horse was not all it was cracked up to be. Sure, pony snuggles could be adorable, but texting was a bitch.

Thank goodness she had nimble thumbs now so that was hardly a concern!

Those nimble thumbs were pausing, though, for a moment, with thoughtful hesitation about adding a second part, before she decided fuck it, why not?

The nurses were watching Stark with very amused expressions. Probably because he was grinning stupidly at his phone.

i was thinking where but i'll take either or both

Summer, for her part, was mostly just ignoring cries of distress from Aisle Handwavey where that yellow pig had probably knocked over a whole shelf of Tupperware or something.

it isn't a challenge to find if I already know where it is but it should probably be pink

just because you suggest it doesn't mean that's where itll be. But pink's probably not a terrible idea
