These weekends were a gift of time. These weekends also hurt.
Stark had been subdued this morning during blacksmithing class. He'd been subdued at the coffee shop. He remained subdued when he arrived at the clinic.
"Stabby didn't have any visitors over the weekend," a nurse told him, picking up a coffee. "We're all hoping that's good news for his missing cousins."
"I hope you find them, Stabby," Stark said quietly as he picked up his own coffee.
The clinic was open, the crab was hopeful, and the alien was in and looking for small tasks to keep himself occupied.
