When Will arrived at the clinic, there was a blanket draped over Stabby's tank and a sign taped to the front that read "TOO CRABBY TO WORK"

"He has a job?" Will wondered.

"Of course," one of the nurses answered. "You didn't think he volunteered his time here, did you?"

"No, but-"

"You're the one signing his paycheques, Doctor."

"His-" Will rubbed at the bridge of his nose. "What does a crab even need regular income for."

The nurse shrugged. "Investments."

"Investments?"

"Yeah. In seafood stock."

You know what? Fine. Will was not going to be the one to break it to anyone that those words probably did not mean what they thought they meant.
