Fandom Clinic, Monday 8/15

Stark had his usual coffees for everyone this morning, along with some cookies with glittery chocolate chips in them that a barista at the Perk had insisted he try. Stark, being himself, hadn't needed much convincing.

When he arrived that Stabby had what appeared to be a glass of wine in one claw.

"That doesn't seem wise," Stark said, frowning. "It could break. Can he even drink wine? Or does it just look like wine?" And wasn't it early for wine?

"You want to take it away from him?" one of the nurses asked, eyebrow raised.

"...No."

The clinic was open, the alien was in, and the crab was possibly a lush.

Sometime in the afternoon Steven stopped by. He was going to say hello to Stark but he was distracted by the sight of a crab with a glass of wine. "Amazing how he's able to hold it."

"Same place your mysterious ingredients come from?" Steven guessed.

"Well, thank you," Steven said. "Yourself? Not too busy?"

"Only for a moment," Steven said. He looked around. "Er - if I wanted to mention something about Friday would you want that private?"

Stark and Travis had been mentioned on the radio several times. Even so, knowing how Llewellyn felt about privacy, Steven didn't want to assume things were fair game without checking.

"Not to me," Steven assured him. "Wasn't sure how you were handling things is all. It's only - when I was chatting with Travis I realized it could get complicated, you knowing about Marc and me."

Steven shrugged to indicate no further details on what "Marc and me" entailed were needed, since Stark knew what that was about.

"I wanted to tell you - well not likely it'll come up often. Can't imagine you wanting to talk about us when you're on a date or the like." Steven smiled. "But if it does, we trust you, if you trust him. You shouldn't have to lie to someone you might care about because of us."

"You don't have to," Steven said. "I don't think it would come up much either. If ever. I just - I didn't like thinking we might be putting you in a bad position. Having to lie because of us. That's not being a good friend, is it? But if you're all right we are too."

"That's fine," Steven said. "However you want to do it. Just didn't want to put you in a bad spot is all. If you're not worried about it I'm not either."

"Didn't want to give you any problems," Steven said. "Especially not as thanks for you being such a good friend and all. If you change your mind you can tell me. Or Marc. It's no problem."
